@Near. Dingbat map!

Second choice for me would be the shield rune.
Vadi2012-03-15 09:34:43
Definitely want a dingbat map for some village revolts, or in case Munsia goes in the Inner Sea.

Enyalida:

So, it helps (slightly) against druids but isn't worth it for that reason. I promise.

As Sidd said, getting your balance back and being able to run if in a group, or if you got super damaged under sapped, or heck, if you want to start attacking them before they start to set up again, I definitely think 2 seconds is worth the credits. Heck, that's almost 2/3rds of my balance time, why would I prefer to be a sitting duck for longer?

I'm not buying a dingbat map for Munsia! Hehe.

I think the map or soap will be my second, with the rune of shielding first. Now here is a follow-up question! Is it better to put the rune on my symbol, or perhaps on a different weapon (like a mace or something awesome) so I can shieldstun with a mace! Recalling my symbol isn't a huge deal. And from seeing all the guild-hoppers (no judgment!), I'm afraid of putting so many credits on a guild-specific item.

You can't put it on a weapon. Plus, even if you do guildhop, you can keep your symbol as a nifty shield. I'd stick it on your symbol, and follow it up with a rune of gripping (fist sigil in the meantime!)

It helps to read the fine print! Hehe. Alas.

Anyone have a list of the various lost cities mentioned over the years and possibly whatever information was listed about the cities?
Ushaara2012-03-15 15:51:35
Ones I know are:
Ackleberry - Elder War and Holy Celestine Empire histories
Alin'dor - Vernal Histories, Skarch sandworms maybe...
Allabellalum - Vernal Histories, more info in the diary of Tamthys.
Climanti - Vernal Histories, Icewynd quests.
Ghalphalshi - Vernal Histories
Glomborolum - Vernal Histories
Grimkeep - Vernal Histories
Jojobo - Elder War Histories
Lamerea - Book of Meridian
Lancenti - Vernal Histories, Skarch sandworms maybe...

Might be confusing Allabellalum and Glomborolum for the diary of Tamthys, it describes the raising of either D'Varsha or Dionamus iirc. Then there may also be more of the ten syllable place names from Elder War books.

Hmm, maybe we should have a Lore Short Questions section? One I always wanted to know was why lucidians have a fire weakness when Xyl loved walking through lava!

You can always count on Ushaara to come through for you on a Lusternian history question... :D

Ackleberry's totally not a lost city. It's a commune that's taking a detour :(
Lehki2012-03-16 02:17:15
Which is the one the Vernal child is from? I can't seem to find the city name in my notes, but pretty sure the edifice that raised her was the Emerald Egg
Unknown2012-03-16 04:00:01
IIRC, no name was ever given. It was a trill mountain place, though.

Pretty sure Ackleberry was flat out destroyed by the taintling hordes at the start of the taint wars. I remember some Seren telling me that the Honeysap was severed from the Tree of Trees, or something like that as well.
Unknown2012-03-16 14:21:47
Ackleberry severed itself from reality after Gloriana was Tainted. It's not Here, but whether it's still okay or not is unknown.
Qistrel2012-03-16 15:40:02
Allabellalum was the underwater merfolk city that raised D'varsha. The diary is from there. I think Glomborolum was a mugwump city.

The Elder Histories also mention a forest that sounds like Icewynd. EDIT: It's Icewynderkyl Forest.

I know a River Daughter who would disagree with you.
Bolki2012-03-16 23:48:12
Is there an easy way to check if your up in the trees? Through gmcp or survey or something...
Enyalida2012-03-16 23:50:15
In the room name, it'll say 'In the trees above'.
Near2012-03-16 23:50:34
QL.

Edit: too slow!
Bolki2012-03-17 00:25:40
Right, but that seems to be inconsistent, I had some rooms with nests and such. I was hoping for something behind the scenes.
