foolofsound:
Pretty sure Ackleberry was flat out destroyed by the taintling hordes at the start of the taint wars. I remember some Seren telling me that the Honeysap was severed from the Tree of Trees, or something like that as well.
Ackleberry took itself out of Time, then the cities decided it was an awesome idea and tried to do it themselves but failed and got themselves locked into stasis for a few centuries. Ackleberry's Honeysap still hands out honeysap logs if you do Tolborolla and Rivers still gives out Prophecies, so they're clearly doing awesome and are rolling around in fields of happiness and feasting on mountains of honeycombs.

No, the cities didn't decide that it would be a good idea to blow themselves out of time. That happened by accident when their respective superweapons crashed into each other.
I'm pretty sure that there was specifically a massacre at Ackleberry; even if they still exist, they are only a shell of their former selves.

Lore... mistakes... staggering. Must... talk... in... ellipses.
Ackleberry was attacked during the taint wars and there was indeed a massacre of sorts. The High Druid Gib was abducted (to later be taken to Glomdoring and become the Ebonglom Wyrdling) and a large number of furrikin were killed. That's not to say the entire forest was destroyed or all of the citizens were killed, but there was a pretty brutal attack.
Gaudiguch and Hallifax did not purposefully attempt to remove themselves from time. They both thought (or at least claimed) that the other side was tainted and then used Project Crucible and Project Paradox contrarespectively to try to drain the power from the other side's nexus and stop what they thought would lead to a second outbreak of the Taint.
Gorob ascended from the Coral Spire of Glomborolum to become D'varsha. Alabellalum instead had the White Shell which ascended Dionamus. The only mugwump edifice mentioned in the history of the Vernal wars was the Bubbling Cauldron in the Ghalphalshi Swamps.

Pretty much this. Sister Lake says that Ackleberry is doing well each time you summon her. You don't get much clearer testimony on how Ackleberry is currently doing than that.

Does the golden monocle need/use balance and if so, how much?
Enyalida2012-03-17 21:10:50
It does. I think it's something like hex drawing on eq, or like assess used to be. Very short.

I used to vote for Lusternia regularly from the forums, where there was a 'Vote' link in one of the corners. But with this new layout I can't seem to find it... did it just go somewhere else? I can't even find it on the main website!

It is completely gone in both cases. There's still one on the IRE toolbar though, it's a little yellow square with an exclamation point in it. But that's the only easily accessible one left, I believe.

Do either of the Icewynd epics make a trill a frost trill (like how you become a royal kephera for doing Undervault)?
Kagato2012-03-23 09:59:48
I think becoming a frost trill is/was a one-off from when Zenos was around simply because they were INSANELY overpowered at the time.
Speaking of which, I can't help but feel a little miffed that trill have three specialisations that are all located in Hallifax (Aeonics, Aeromancer and Lolaria... erm I meal LoralAria - in which they have a whopping 18 unweighted charisma)

That's kind of like being a merian in Serenwilde and being miffed that merians spec in Celest as Cantors, Aquamancers, and Paladin.

Org races, bro. That's how it goes with every org race in every org.
Also, just to be a pedant, the specializations are cloud (aeromancy/harmonics), storm (warrior+aeonics), and warbling (loralaria).
Unknown2012-03-23 13:58:08
Warblers max out at 25 charisma. That's a whole 2 more than seasinger. :|
Qistrel2012-03-23 14:27:16
Ok. I shall explain this again. If you are kephera and do the kephera Undervault quest, you will always be a royal kephera. This is aesthetic, and does not give a stat boost. The same thing for the illithoid side. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was a similar frost trill thing or not.
Ushaara2012-03-23 16:18:02
Part of the Icewynd quest series is bugged, and so no-one has been able to do the Ice Angel side since Zenos was first released to see what consequences there are without his powers being magnified by the new bard voices.
Ytran2012-03-23 16:37:35
Warbling trill, ha ha ha. They are anthropomorphic pigeons.

Right? They're wondering if you get the aesthetic name change...

To those who responded, I'm quite aware there are reasonings behind certain linkages between races and cities/communes. I've just been in a good mood lately and needed to find something to be miffed about or I would lose my 'grumpy old fart' card.=p

Why do people play Lusternia on their phones? That's such a bad idea. And for that matter, how? I wasn't aware that you could even get Lusternia to run on a cell phone. And how do you even read the tiny letters as they flicker by?

Greleag:There are mud clients for smartphones. IRE's for android is pretty nice, or blowtorch. I heard a rumor that Vadi stays up in the wee hours toiling toward a mini-mudlet for android too, which will be spiffy. Iphone people have something as well I'm sure, but I've probably never heard of it.
