Nope.
Rivius2012-03-27 20:45:08
Hrm. I wonder if it affects crushaorta?
Unknown2012-03-27 21:00:38
I think it does, which would make this a very good investment. There are better things one could get for the cost of that rune though, imo.
Ushaara2012-03-28 01:29:27
Agreeing with Iasmos, not worth it. Difference if any on CrushAorta bleed is imperceptible.
Unknown2012-03-28 05:40:59
And what of monks (jakari/tahtetso) and great runes of bleeding? I hear that both guilds have bleeding modifiers, but I never hear any worthy raves about it. At least enough to warrant slapping on a bleeding rune.

Does anybody a list of what the various levels of mob resistance/weakness are called, and to what % they affect damage?
Basically I was trying figure out if I should use normal or lightning bugs on something that had moderate weakness to blunt, but I have 10dmp from tattoos to electric. Normal cudgel is 50%cutting/50%blunt and l-bugs 100% electric.

If it has no weakness to lightning listed, you should use cudgel, since some weakness is better than no weakness.

Well yeah, but I have I have 10DMP to Electric damage from Tattoos, and 0 to Blunt/Cutting. Is that weakness better then my DMP is the question.

Ninja'd.

One level of weakness should be around 7%.
Kiradawea2012-03-28 08:13:25
That's true when it comes to racial resistances. But for mob resistances, I'm not so sure that's the case. I thought it was more.
Enyalida2012-03-28 13:41:53
I'm pretty sure it mirrors mob resistances, which means that hitting something that is elec neutral (but you have 10% on the 100% damage type) over hitting something that is 7% weak to a 50% damage type, neutral to the other with you having no extra damage with electricity is a better idea. That got sort of convoluted, but I'm pretty sure it's best in this situation to use electricity damage. Treat your +10% damage on elect as if everything was one level weaker to electricity and figure it from there.
Lehki2012-03-28 16:37:54
I know how to do math, Enya. :P I'm just looking for the numbers if anybody had 'em. Assuming it is 7% per level, then against neutral Electricity, it would have to be at least lvl2 weakness to both cutting and blunt, or lvl3 in one and neutral in the other to be worth using normal over lightningbugs.
So I'm guess people don't have a list of the level names? Ok well the ones I've seen so far are
Slight/Moderate/Terrible/Fatal Weakness
Slight/Moderate/Great/invulnerability Resistance
I'm only guessing on the order but that makes the most sense for the names. Does anybody know if there are any other levels besides those?

Well! Someone was saying that you should use the cutting/blunt attack, and it was up for question, so you never know!
That's correct on the progression of weak to strong resistances/weaknesses. Those are the only levels I know of, also!

Extremely random, for those with a richer vocabulary than me: Is there a word to describe the kind of sound wind makes when it passes through a narrow space? 'Howl' seems a bit strong, looking for something more gentle...
Unknown2012-03-29 09:33:12
whistle
Lendren2012-03-29 12:46:07
For a more gentle word maybe "whisper" or "susurration". Not exactly what you're describing but pretty close and pretty gentle.

How useful are the spectacle of clairvoyance and the paradox puzzle? Are they more of a luxury or a must-have? If it's mostly luxury... I guess I'll just save up for a skillflex artie to swap between acrobatics and psymet, which I'm also not sure of how useful that would be.

They're immesnely useful. If I have a demesne up, then spectacles are less useful, but I don't always, so I'd get them. Puzzle is just pure awesome. If I had the credits I'd get one right now.

In my experience, once you get spectacles, you can never go back.
