You're perfecting the art, Casilu.
Alright, short question. Who's the best forger/ jeweler/ crafter you've had work done with? Best being cost versus satisfaction versus maybe politeness? I want to make a black book of where to go in Lusternia for crafting, or alcohol, or parties - with little trivia bits and things or people to avoid as novices. Help please?

If you want them to get their equipment quickly and at a good price at the cost of having their mind irrevocably scarred, send them to me. Or Jigan.

It's true! She made Max Speed Nekai for me for free.

Maybe? Assuming Lusternia uses Achaea's legacy code for sipping. I pulled this off the Imperian forums.
Someone correct me in the very likely event that this is wrong.
EDIT: Whoops. You don't have to multiply anything by 11 because, in Lusternia, hp ranges weren't reduced like they are in Imperian. You can just plug max hp in as-is and you should get a realistic answer (not like when I tried and ended up with a base sip of ~9.4k when my max hp is only 5k. )

Ok, so it turns out the formula you gave me is ridiculously accurate. o.o
I know I'm -really- pushing it here, but would anyone know the formulas for sparkle and scroll :>?
Also, how much do sip bonuses and maluses cost?
Kiradawea2011-10-06 08:34:38
In Achaea, I heard moss is 10% of your max. Might be the same here.

That matches what I've got written down. I may have tested but can't remember.
Scroll heals less as you get further from your maximum. From testing done a long while ago, below about 10% max health it heals nothing, above around 83% it heals 9% of max, with a sliding scale in between in increments of 1% max health.

Ah, seems you guys are right. Sparkleberry is a flat 10% to h/m/e. The only weird one is healing scroll. So the only factor seems to be how far the stat is from the maximum? I think I could run some tests and see if I could work out a formula...

True, but the hierarchy of mind-destroying goes something like this: Me < Jigan < Kethuru < A whole lot of really evil nasty stuff < you. We have to draw the line of mercy somewhere.

What is the role of Strength in wounding? Would it be viable to play a low-Dex warrior if the speed penalties were reduced?

The amount of wounding you do is purely due to your precision and your strength. I'm not sure which plays a bigger factor though. As for dex, all the determines is how often you get the afflictions you want at that particular wound level.

Follow up question: How large of a role does "Dex-Dodging" play in warrior combat?
I want to start up a Tae'dae (my favorite race) warrior when and if slow races get pulled out of the trash heap. It a 8 Dex warrior viable assuming balance/EQ malus becomes less of a problem?

I already have a forger for myself that I work with. And that forger already gave me the documents so that was a plus in gathering the comms and everything for things I like

You'll have a hard time getting the afflictions you want, and the balance/eq malus will make outpacing curing difficult...You might do okay in groups, especially since you'd be doing decent wounds per hit with that strength, but really, alone it'll be hard.
