How does aptitude work per se? I understand it goes up through use but is it capped at something per day? And is it per real day or lusternia day or what?

You get 1% (though the occasional 2% is possible, I think) once per Lusternian day.

I loaned out the temporary ones I got and was a little surprised to find when I returned that they had still not reset (this was roughly 5 hours later)

Update regarding my question, heard back from the admins and it is indeed intentional that temporary artifacts do NOT reset to you, so if you loan one out, make sure to get it back.

I've had to wait over a week for some of my designs.... caused me to log in less and less, which I thought was a strange observation.

I'm reminded that the same thing happened to me years ago. I got a burst of requests for designs, submitted them, and since I was waiting for them, it cause me log out if I checked and saw they weren't ready, as if I could not continue until the design was done... Someone should do a research paper on this.
