I feel like Seren is kind of in the same synergy boat, though having all five guilds does really help. We've got a great mana drain (in succumb) but no one else can really capitalize on that. We don't have anything like an overarching goal or theme to most of our skills that works together to any given goal, which I think REALLY helps an org. We don't really have that much more then Hallifax does, we just have more guilds.

EDIT: I feel your pain on the sweeping changes thing, I kind of wish I could do the same in HS. I think that if there were nerfs to some institute capabilities, you'd be able to get offensive buffs you really need, but each problem is hindering the other. You don't want to nerf in anticipation of buffs elsewhere, because those may never go through, which leaves you more in the hole. No one wants to buff you because you have xyz that would become silly.
