Or.. a gumball machine, that spits out gumballs that when you chew turns you different colours, (your name in random ansii) for a short period of time.

Problem there is that you can change player names in CONFIG. I like the idea though.

I've repeatedly offered to pay several hundred credits for a Selene doll, let alone a more widespread release, and heard naught but crickets. Same with any feature to allow doll trading.

Smorkles points a peculiar brass gadget at you and it starts to whirr and beep.
<3 SECONDS>
Bright pink sparks begin to leap towards you from Smorkle's weird device.
<3 SECONDS>
A flickering aura forms around the barrel of the gadget, and the sparks increase in number.
<3 SECONDS>
A garish purple ray streams from Smorkles's device, enveloping you in a lurid glow that makes you feel funny.

You now have a donkey's head (line on description) / burp at random intervals / clothes look like a pretty pink tutu (glamrock style) / are followed by a malevolent green squirrel / other cosmetic effect. Could be random from a list or just one fixed.

Effect lasts an hour, device can be stopped by leaving the room or interrupting the user like chasm/soulless. Zap people idling at the nexus for fun and profit!*

I'd still like an artifact or permit or something to let me have two (or more) familial considerations going on at the same time.

I want a Brother Wolf doll (with howl as the emote to activate it), but that's never going to happen. Just like Wolf druids will probably never happen, considering Ackleberry would be up for (re-)introduction first even if the playerbase miraculously quadrupled.

Though I kinda wonder what Loboshigaru caster spec would look like.

That would be nice, though I would like a variation where you could be officially in one family and your spouse could be in another. Then you can pick which of the two the kids go to, but then I guess that makes things too complicated where Great Houses are concerned.
