I was honestly expecting them to go for more than they did, given all the complaining that there is about influencing undead. The way it went kind of indicates to me that the ability isn't worth the upset around it, rather it's just something to bitch about. If it were such a big deal, they would have gone for more. You're a person who could pay whatever for it just because you wanted it, but you didn't. *shrug*

The price on an auction does not correlate directly to the value of the item or any ability it bestows.

Well, actually, it's buggy the way it works now. It shouldn't be taking any credits away when you bid. That was never fully fixed after escrow came into the picture.

Not everyone has a million credits sitting around to spend on whatever they want. You can't say "the ability isn't worth the upset around it" just because people didn't want to pay a few thousand credits for it. Auctions never show the real worth of an artifact.

I personally don't see it being a huge issue though.

The Book was worth 800 cr to me and not a credit more! It's not like there that many quests that needed undead influencing that I really wanted to do.

Love the initiative! I always thought crow cloaks would be a good source of income from enterprising (and unscrupulous) sorts.

However, deals like this should probably be roleplayed in game! (And you may not want to advertise under-the-table deals -- which are usually conducted in deserted back alleys for a reason!)
