Meh. Currently, my gripe with mages is that they're (at times) nigh-impossible to kill with spells because of lolwards. Nothing spells "fun" like throwing 15-20 dualcasted firebolts at someone without it having any effect at all.

I hate those mage wards! Mine never seem to work or I drain magicka too fast to keep it up! Meh! It sucks when you are in a den of conjurers...They are all throwing it up and throwing lightning bolts to drain my magicka! So much haaaate!

My understanding of what you are supposed to do in this case is summon up a bound weapon and hack at them a time or two (usually when I close to melee with a mage they stop trying to cast spells and frantically try to defend in melee-mode... not the best idea for a mage!)

Doesn't always work that way, but enough that it's worth a shot.

Hit em with shock damage. They won't be so hard to kill when they have no mana left.

Does anyone know if there's a way to see the game version in Steam somewhere? Because I think they just severely screwed mine up... Whenever I launch the game, it opens the launcher as usual. When I try to launch it from the launcher, the launcher instead launches the launcher ad infinitum. Yay.

I had that problem... I think it means it needs patching, but I'm not sure. I don't remember how I got around it, only that when 1.2 finally was definitely loaded, it started working.
Ssaliss2011-12-08 07:46:27
I solved it by (I think) verifying the installation. Which also reset all kinds of things in my settings.

WTB Imperial Officer's armor. Anyone know where do find some? :3
Ssaliss2011-12-08 07:51:09
I think I got some during the civil war questline... unsure though, it was a few weeks ago.
Razenth2011-12-08 09:24:58
Are you looking to solve the Northwatch Keep quest peacefully?

I can give you the console codes for it, or if you're on the ehksbawks tree sickstii, I can tell you where it can be located. Which would you prefer?

Imperial Officers wear Imperial Heavy Armor, which can be crafted via blacksmithing. Imperial Officer Helmets can be found in the following locations. Forelhost, Fort Greymoore, and in the Ratways, close to Esbern.

Hokai thank you!
Razenth2011-12-09 03:12:12
From what I heard, it's bugged and impossible to finish peacefully because the quest checks for a set of armor that doesn't exist in game. The only solution is to massacre everybody.
Ssaliss2011-12-09 03:19:12
My favorite solution!

What perks did y'all choose? I always find myself unable to decide, so mine are all over the damn place from indecision. So I am not very great at anything.
Ssaliss2011-12-09 04:22:26
I focused on enchanting, smithing and destruction. The result? 0 magicka destruction spells!
