The Icewynd Cometh!

Back to Common Grounds.

That would be so awkard RP wise for some people.

Like, say you're a Celestian. Trying saying, "Oh, it's cool. Some hallifaxian did the Zenos quest. I'm just a LITTLE corrupted by a soulless god."

Edit- also, pretty sure there aren't. It is a big area, 24/25 isn't a huge number of pits to clear for a group of a few demis, though I'd never get it done in an hour alone. They do seem to come back reallllly quickly.
Unknown2012-01-02 17:12:19
The pits also move around -fast-. We regularly saw two pits in the same room last night, and I even saw three pits in the same room once.
Ushaara2012-01-02 17:15:13
Could make it like Throne of Urlach then, so only the trill who touch the Eye or whatever receive his blessing! Don't know how other cities are playing ice angels out, but the conflict has been fun in Hallifax!
Unknown2012-01-02 17:24:34
Celest had a loooong drama filled debate that ended with some real consequences for some. We had the compassionate characters not wanting to condem the loyal trill, to divine calling for their confinement or purging, and everything in between.

Particular raves to Eventru for engaging in a long, long CT debate, and Junia, for seizing the opportunity to play a Trill in a city suddenly somewhat hostile to her.

I'm a little jealous. She got to play the loyal outcast that people occasionally try as a viscanti that never really works out. But without the not-working-out part.

Xenthos:

Pretty sure there are that many, because at one point Talan and I had enough corpses (and orbs) to make up 24 distinct gravedigger pits. Once we had cleared 24 there were no more; just not sure if others had cleared a couple (we had 7-8-9 orbs, and I would expect the number of them to match...)

Also: Why would you be hoping for the Ice Angel effect ala Royal Kephera / Illithoid Reaper? Those are basically those races' version of specializations. Trill already have specializations! They're already boosted.

Because it's snazzy RP.

No, sorry.

I was surprised your Eventsenses weren't tingling.

Good for Chade, though.

None of these honours quests are repeatable? Does this mean that the City of Climanti won't be released as an area after this event is over?

It's been interesting RPing with Junia, Kagato has been acting as her teacher and was with her when Zenos struck and she first became touched by his power and has been trying to act as a pillar of support for her since, she shows a lot of inner strength when she does any scenes relating to the current events.

Once we had killed 24 pits worth, there were no more appearing; further, when things 'come back' they tend to have their corpses decay and their quest items reset (a mob that comes back isn't going to have a completely different orb I'd think); this leads me to believe that there really are a finite number, they have standard respawn rates, but because there are so many of them the odds are good that one will be moving to a room near you at any given moment.

I won't say, I won't say!

What do you think?

I think I want to cosmetically be able to be a frost trill after this event is over. :P

I think Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, and George Carlin analogues will arrive in a phone booth and repair the damage done in the past.

Before giving a truly awesome class presentation on it.
Kiradawea2012-01-02 18:10:29
But Lusternia still doesn't have their own Jeanne d'Archetype.

Heh,

I really hope it is (I also think it will be!) I'd like to spend more time actually taking the area in properly as it was a bit ARGH ZENOS IS COMING the first time.

But if you go back in time, it'll be all ARGH ZENOS IS COMING all over again... :)

Hrm, perhaps I was incorrect regarding Mr. Reeves and Mr. Winter. Perhaps this is a job for Bill Murray.

*gasp* Heretic! Doctor Who is the best, by far.

You're delusional. I said favourite, not best.

The best was Doc Brown.

When it was just Tulemrah and I on behalf of Hallifax, the roleplay started out really, really fun. But then as more people started showing up (since this was still close to right after Zenos was released), and more people were magically finding out about our attempting to feed Zenos, things just got progressively more and more annoying for me. I don't mind the conflict, or even the city disfavour that was (marvelously!) backed by a solid foundation of roleplay, but some people took it waaay too far.

Overdramatic, pfffshhh.

Why would they disfavor you? It's not your fault. You are under the influence of an alien being, powerful beyond comprehension.
