Hee, enemied to the Forsaken for killing their leader. Think I'm out of the rest of this event since I'm not sure assisting Zenos will win me many brownie points in Gaudiguch or with Mysrai. Still its fun trying to dart through the watchers whilst apologising for killing Shakif.
Chade2012-01-03 12:25:00
Ow, I got amnesty with the Forsaken and still had 25 in a room attack me. Bad Forsaken!
On Icewynd, the new changes to weather have made movement in Icewynd hellishly slow. Any chance this effect could be toned down slightly to make exploration there more pleasant? I'm currently bouncing around it on a pogo stick and using sprint as they're faster mechanisms of transportation.
If the slow movement effect is here to stay in its current form, could we please get an artifact or Demigod power that removes/reduces it?

I support the idea of a Demigod power that alleviates weather effects.
Ssaliss2012-01-03 13:26:55
Likewise. Or an enchantment.
Personally I would feel very weird if it was released as an artifact. It'd feel as if the admin slapped the weather-effects on us and said we'd have to pay to make it go back the way it was. Just... rubs me wrong somehow.

Forsaken Balimora, High Watcher says, "What you be calling Climanti, we be calling the Dead City. That be all needing saying. Trespassers be killed."
(I got killed too :( )
Anyhoo, I loved this event. Congratulations and thanks to all involved!

The Forsaken protect the ruined city of Climanti with their lives, enemy or not. While they were previously trapped in the ice tower, they're free now to butcher those who have no right to be there.

Ahhh, sorry for my erroneous bug report then. Well now they've killed me after I've apologised and paid a fine, bugger them. I'm off to help the Guardian's lock the Forsaken away again :P

Because there aren't any other artifacts whose sole purpose is to let you avoid an annoying and arbitrary factor that interferes with movement for no good reason, nosireebob.
Ssaliss2012-01-04 13:09:52
Such as? I can't think of a single one that negated a newly-introduced movement limiter.
The pearl and bloodstone rings were introduced a long time after their interference came around. The sapphire and ruby rings just followed the already-existing pattern of interference on elemental planes and a way to bypass them, so I wouldn't say they count either.
The winged sandals follow an old pattern which started in Achaea, and mimics several abilities to boot, so I wouldn't count those either.
The astral boots were first added as an auction artifact long before they became publically available, and as far as I know, the spheres were never fully connected (aside from during worldgames and whatnot).
Are there any other artifacts that let you bypass a limit to movement? I'm not including pathfinder boots or the *bixes here since they're shortcuts and not made to bypass limits to movement.

I just noticed the Forsaken quest is nicely underway! Well, done to whoever got that far!
I should note there is still one piece of the puzzle missing that can only be discovered by helping the Forsaken...
dun dun DUUUUN!

Icewynd!! So happy that this area was released! If only I could get there to see it! :(

Estarra:
Hope you were able to slog through the Epilogue to the Wounded Sky! This just goes to show how long in the planning this area/event was (the area itself was started even before the events started). It was touch and go on whether we would even be able to start the event before year end, and there were many candles burning late into the night to complete it, but all's well that ends well. Enjoy!
I actually really appreciated the epilogue post, so while we're complaining about everything else, thank you for this. :P
Kiradawea2012-01-05 07:10:50
Indeed. I loved the epilogue. Well done on that.
Ushaara2012-01-05 09:25:20
So when Donfin says he wants all the wassets, he actually wants -all- the wassets? :(
Ixion2012-01-05 10:13:56
The only good one is a dead one. GRRRRR that is so annoying to do.
