You shouldnt be so concered with losing karma that it forces you to log out...
I can get most of my karma back with a single round of Mag's power quest or some short Krokani bashing, enough to leave up four blessings constantly with very little difficulty. If I plan to idle or RP for long periods, I'll burn my two less important ones.

I have idea'd this since it is a heavily disputed issue, but you will always lose karma based on how many you are attached to, inactive or not. This way people dont get all 9 and pick and choose their times. Additionally I suggested that if you KARMA RELEASE Its gone for say the month, if you know you are done you can remove it. And none of them are really so powerful that you will ever feel pressured to perma maintain them really. It gets most people wha they want but prevents picking and choosing and avoids people massing them.
That said, I agree that they are blessings, you dont ask for tosha to be deferable, these are the same kind of things (specially since you have +health +int and +cha as karmics).
