rika:
The bigger issue with excoro, specifically, is that it makes zero sense for the Domoths, which has strong links to Immanidivinus, to have excoro energy in it.
This is a good point. Could put cutting and blunt in instead, shuffle some things around. Just not sure where to put cutting. Hm. Maybe
Nature - Poison
Life - Electric (energy of life?)
Death - Cold (chill of the grave?)
Chaos - Fire?
Knowledge - Magic
Justice - Cutting (Justice is precise?)
War - Blunt (War is not?)
Harmony - Psychic?
Beauty - Asphyxiation

Good ideas so far.
RE: Aetolia havens - I'm not sure the admin will go for something exactly like that. But if someone wants to pitch an idea that will give demis something else to spend essence on that aren't powers, I'm all ears.

When I was doing this I was tossing up whether to put in Excorable or Divinus instead of Blunt and Cutting, but I see your argument.
Death - the Icy Throne of Death - Cold
Justice - the Blind Throne of Justice - Blunt
Nature - the Amber Pool of Nature - Poison
Chaos - the Living Chair of Chaos - Psychic
Beauty - the Fragrant Spring of Beauty - Asphyxiation
Knowledge - the Crystalline Throne of Insight - Magic
Harmony - the Quintessence of Balance - Electric
Life - the Chalice of Eternity - Fire (ie. Flame of Life, Divine Spark etc etc)
War - the Steel Throne of Sharpest Swords - Cutting

Demi's can feed mounts some of their essence for a boost in powers? Move a little faster, can be sustained by essence instead of oats, have more health, mana, ego.
Give each city and commune a essence well. Demi's can imbue the well with their essence, and the city or commune with the most amount of essence would get more monthly power to their nexus?
turn essence into a type of currency, trade-able only between demi's?
Allow demi's to scatter their essence in the room they are in, banishing spirits (dreamweavers, etc) from the room for a short period of time? (Like dropping an eye sigil, but lasts an hour per use)
Hmm, how about a non-power skillset that demigods can access, by spending essence to learn? The skillset would be different in the sense that the person who has spent the most essence would keep the transcendent skill. But the moment that someone else spends more essence in learning, the previous person loses the skill. It would become something of a tug-of-war to who spends the most essence and keeps the higher grade skill.
a non combat skill would let two demigods conjoin their minds. They would hear what the other person gets told and says themselves.
access to demigod only emotes? Be allowed to properly backhand a person out of the room? Staredown causes fear? Access to demigod only dreams? Let demigods create an illusion of change of time in day in a room? Let there be a further specialization of demigods, where they would get bonus stats, or lose stats, based on the kind of demigod they choose to become? One specializing in forests, oceans, land, sky, aetherspace? Or demigods can spend essence on changing their race at a hefty cost?...
create a bar in the divine havens that serves food and drinks that can alter a demigod's physical and mental characteristics for a short time? The things on the menu cost different amounts of essence, and gives a new meaning to a godly lunch? Examples would be something that makes you feel bigger or smaller, or make you speak in an unknown language but no other language for a while, or lose your ability to speak for a while. And their can be collectibles as well, released periodically, that can be bought with the essence. This ties into the demigod essence currency idea.

Dropping an eye sigil doesn't banish spirits or do anything against phased people, afaik. In the other IREs it does.
Nooo thanks to the demiskillset as suggested. I do think it would be cool to bring back tiered gains though, like veneration but for demis, with different stuff.
While a demibar would be just gooofy, I think it'd be cool to make the havens have stuff in them. I'd suggest also extending the peace to the entire area!

So, these two demigods walk into a bar...

How about an ability to rez a mount. Usable once a month maybe. It won't keep the mount from losing a level, but it will keep you from having to wait an hour to resummon it.
I also like the idea of giving your pet increased mana/ego regen (possibly at the expense of a mana/ego drain on yourself).

I don't really see a reason why we should be protecting essence gotten through automated bashing/influencing, I realize not all of the top few people got it that way, but I'm sure a few did
Lets not forget aetherbashing too

Especially when that essence presents the administration with 'a problem' that at some point is going to be solved in a way that is detrimental to a great number of people.
Just address it now in a way that affects as few people as possible.

Just give me something to spend my 260mil essence on, and I'll be happy.

Feel free to suggest things to spend essence on!
Whether it be in the form of new powers or a cool mechanic!

I'm fine with Estarra's tiered essence weight thing myself.
I could use some extra cha, and expand/shrink would be nice too.

Another plug for cosmetic novelty races again: Fink/Gnome vs Slivvens ala Aliens, Centaurs and Sileni.

- Spend essence to increase the nutritive value of food (only food made by the Cooking tradeskill), but you, yourself, can't eat that food, it'll have no nutritive value for you.
- Spend essence to extend the available life of Artisan furniture.
- Spend essence to temporarily expand the capacity of a stockroom by a maximum of 100 slots. 1000 essence per slot, and the number of extra slots decays one per game-day. You can do it on any stockroom you can get into... so you can hire yourself out to expand stockrooms for pay.

* 150m for a 0-weight tradeskill slot.
* 25-50m for a skill that gives you aff-curing on a 10s tick; this goes away if you enter PC enemy territory / attack a player / are attacked by a player. (Basically a bashing utility, 10k to put up, if you do any of the above free things can't put it back up for 10mins)
* Ability to carve totems!
* 10-25m ability that lets you be invited to cartels on a 'probationary' level (can't read news, talk on the clan aether or be set to cartel head, and can only use designs that are flagged to be used by probationary members). Doesn't consume a cartel slot. <-- I would really like this one in some form, being able to use Xiel's awesome designs would be amazing. Along with whatever others are out there that I haven't even looked into, because I'm already at like 16 clan slots and am not looking for more. :P

* Ability to not lose defs on logout / disconnect; they would be saved when your session is disconnected and re-applied to the next session when you reconnect (this data would be purged on the month change, so as to avoid unnecessary extra bloat).
- You would still need to redef the next day, but if your connection is lost for whatever reason and you disconnect again shortly after, your defs are still there!

PS: There's enough variation in all of the ideas going up here to give Demis, with the new DemiFlex(TM) system, things to use their essence on.
Cap us, please!

No, don't make us DemiFlexâ„¢, give us tiered weight!
