DemiFlexâ„¢ is part of the original idea, and is far preferable than being locked in to a certain amount of abilities... because even with 'tiered weighting' you will eventually cap out at whatever the new cap is decided to be.
There's some room for tiered weighting in an essence cap system too as has been suggested earlier, but DemiFlexâ„¢ is an absolutely essential part of the endgame system overhaul... regardless of whether or not tiered weighting is implemented. Ephemeral as it is is broken.

What about a power that lets you see what room or area a gate opens into? I was exploring Mount Dio once and was trying to find a rift that I could use to get in without doing the normal quest and I ended up having a minor heart attack when I transversed into EtherGlom; being able to see where the gates in e.g. the Crystal Meadows lead without having some chance at instadeath on the other side would be useful. Unless there's already some way to do this and I've just completely missed it.

I remember it being said that Centaurs were originally intended to be a player race but it was dropped due to the logistics of having four legs. Sileni are meant to be extinct. The others work though.

I'm thinking it might be interesting if we got more flavour/utility powers that enhance being a demigod/ascendant of a particular race. Kinda cycling back to a couple of racial ideas brewed up awhile ago, certain things like:
Aslaran/Loboshigaru Demigods/Ascendants: forming the pride/pack for x-amount of essence.
Dracnari/Kephera Demigods/Ascendants: being able to shed skin for some flavour/utility effect. Limits as appropriate, of course.
So on and so forth, pairing up the other races with similarities if wanted. Humans and Viscanti, Merian and Mugwump, Elfen and Faeling, etc, etc.
Yes, they're ideas covered before, preferably new(-ish) effects that have not been covered before. How this would relate to changelings is beyond me or for those who like to reincarnate with daggers often, but I figure if people latch onto it, they can clarify it themselves. -throws more ideas out-

how about an apparel item that demigods can infuse themselves with? For example, you can infuse yourself with a robe or a helmet that becomes part of your natural body, so they no longer decay, and that they can be then changed a little bit, maybe rewritten for an essence cost. So for the more chaos orientated demi's, they can infuse themselves with a helmet that starts growing spikes as part of the description. Would kind of become something of tattoo show off thing, where people can see that specific thing outlined when they look at you. Or for more nature orientated people, you would get life sprouting from an arm gear. Or for those with kata forms that want to pull off the falcon punch, they could have fire flaming from their bracelet.
Or something very cool that demigods could go, would be to kind of decapitate a part of their own body, and be able to leave a hand in the room that would randomly grab people in the room. Or you could place a pedestal in a room with a demi's head on top that allows you to speak to people around you (and really freak out the novices)

Or a little more life is given in the room they are in. Poisonists can get a little bit more poison, artisans can make their goods last a longer or shorter amount of time once.

I don't think that container sales really will do anything to the economy that can't be fixed by 15 minutes of bashing, really. I think that being able to aegis even some of your items would be cool.

-Weakness inversion: A little complex, but, pair off the damage types:
Fire:Cold
Electric:Poison
Magic:Psychic
Exco:Divinus
Cutting:Blunt
The ability would let you move positively towards one of the types, but the paired type would move negatively. So, say you're an illithoid. You could decrease your magic malus, but it would also decrease your psychic resist. Or if you're a human, you could gain a poison resist, but would take on an equivalent electric malus.

I'd still like to encourage discussion on cap vs. non-cap, but I think I'm leaning towards no/soft cap. More discussion needed.
Regarding tiered weighting, I'm gonna go with a variation of Estarra's idea unless someone has a better idea. I'd like discussion here too.

That was argued against by the admin saying there's already pets and dirigibles for that.
