<3 One of these was my throne, so I'm very happy to have my name attached to it.
Who would want your name attached to something? Ewwwww.

I've been attempting the Seren epic quest for something like three years, in between org hops and such. Got my first line today, seconds before Lusty (or more likely my connection to it) crashed for a half hour or so.
So much angst so narrowly averted. :D

Big rave for Rivius helping out the newbs in the Serenguard so much. Also rave for Fayrin for giving a new herbalist work. I'm not sure why I'm so addicted to planting and harvesting.. but I am!

Dear Ivory Monkey,
You did not disappoint.

Grumble, grumble. Giving monkeys ideas. Grumble.

You play a minor second on a diamond and onyx violin and direct the disharmonic notes towards a slithering ooze.
Blood trickles out of a slithering ooze's ears and from the corners of his eyes.
You have scored an OBLITERATING CRITICAL hit!
A slithering ooze screams and dies, as his eyes fly out of their sockets and blood splurts out of his ears.
You have slain a slithering ooze.
You suddenly scoop up the corpse of a slithering ooze.

Big raves to Ailley, Kiastos and Hadvir. Being a young warrior isn't easy, and these kids still did everything they had to do marvelously in such a short amount of time with not even the smallest whimper. Novices like these are what makes playing still worth it.
Rave also to Anita and Tartanus for being active and making things warm and happy when they're online.
Rave to Ceana for being such a darn hard worker. I really don't think she gets all the thanks she deserves. Her work for Serenwilde is both tireless and excellent.
Rave to Fayrin for the amount of passion he has for the Serenguard and his dedication to helping novices grow and keep interest.
Rave to Hiriako for being the best Seneschal we've had since I've started playing.
Rave to Nicholo, Lothringen, Riluna, Saran, Caoin and anyone else I may have forgotten to mention who continue to go out there and do things to help Serenwilde move forward.

Pebble field approaching a canyon in the Razines.
A few small snowflakes drift lazily down from above. Hidden deep within the environment lies a
mystic pathway. Bright yellow flowers on an arnica bush add some colour here. Dark blue berries upon
a juniper bush add welcome colour in these mountain heights. A kafe bush grows among the rocks here.
A jagged crystalline shard lies upon the ground.
You see exits leading southeast and northwest.

You scoop up a jagged crystalline shard.
A jagged crystalline shard flares briefly, attuning to your touch. A vision flashes before your eyes
briefly, and you see yourself touching a jagged crystalline shard to locate a fallen piece of
machinery, then delivering the completed structure to the Wheel of the Goloths.
8820/8820h, 8645/8794m, 6228/6228e, 10p, 99%w, (17.71m), 297%es, (Scabies|Scabies), exbk<>-touch shard
You reach out and touch a jagged crystalline shard.
You grasp a jagged crystalline shard firmly, pointing it away from you.
8820/8820h, 8757/8794m, 6228/6228e, 10p, 99%w, (17.71m), 297%es, (Scabies|Scabies), exbk<>-
A jagged crystalline shard crackles vibrantly with a surge of energy. A twisted piece of metal rises
from underfoot, and a jagged crystalline shard drops to meet it.
8820/8820h, 8757/8794m, 6228/6228e, 10p, 99%w, (17.71m), 297%es, (Scabies|Scabies), exbk<>-
A crackle of energy briefly blinds you, and when your vision clears, shard and metal have vanished,
leaving a flickering cube, which you quickly take, bound for the Wheel of the Goloths.
Fastest shard find ever. <3

A rave for Shuyin because he's always fun and entertaining, even when technically an enemy.

Yeah, he was chatting with us about his "plans".
And then he got all disappointed when you came back, heh.

Big thanks to Hiriako for his collection of the Seren-based choice look and entrance messages. <3 Just have the Hartstone to go before that's all catalogued in my wee little wiki, yay.
Edit: And in go the Hartstone stuff. Yay.

It's so cute! What medium did you use? The color is so even and the lines are so smooth.

1 (system) 07/20 02:45 Viravain, Lady of the Thorns has bestow
ed Her divine truefavour upon you. It w
ill last for 1 month.
 I'm not a member of Her order, so I'm like what?
She is a nimble shadowsinger faeling and carries herself with a very humble demeanor. She is small, not only in height but in frame. Although clearly feminine through other traits, her body is very slender, with only a slight curve into a very small waist and over her hips. It is not attractive in a sensual way, more the mark of not eating as much as she should. Her hair is dark, complimentary of the night sky, and falls in very soft curls and waves to her thighs. The strands are light and move easily with her, bouncing lightly with any subtle motion. Her eyes are reminiscent of the lush pastures, deep and green. With a small nose and mouth, her face is very youthful, as befits her age. Wings sprout naturally from her back, the ends of which are soft and wispy, a bit like feathers although clearly not similar in any other fashion. She is wearing a canvas backpack, soft, knee-high boots of dove-grey suede, pale green greatrobes embroidered with musical imagery, a snug-fitting green coat, an onyx spider necklace, a star-etched sapphire ring, a star-etched beryl ring, a star-etched pearl ring, a star-etched amethyst ring, a star-etched jade ring, an etched ruby ring, a phantasmal shroud of shadows, a cloak of crow feathers and a midnight black rose. She walks with the truefavour of Viravain.
Then I'm all like YAY!!!! Lol. Increased xp and all that good stuff.

Just wanted to say that I'm happy to be somewhat back despite my obligations and responsibilities. It's been nice catching up with a few of the fellow old people that I know and that remember me. Look forward to being more active with you all.

The inks are Pilot V5 black pen on Bristol board (it's kind of like card stock and works great with lots of different media, for those wondering what the heck this is) and the coloring is flat digital with a bit of texture work for the background. It started out as a sketch on typing paper I did at a D&D game, was transferred to Bristol board with my lightbox and a mechanical pencil, then inked, then had the pencil erased, then scanned, then sworn at as I looked for flaws in the scan, then colored in Photoshop, then submitted, then left for a month because I didn't realize I submitted it wrong, then REsubmitted. And that's all it took!
It's pretty much the exact same method I used for my January submission except without any hand-drawn textures and more color.
