Draylor:
For one simple reason, you can colour your illusions here. Might want to do your homework before commenting, heh.
Ok, but you can't color actual attacks...
The problem here is that you can't trust detected illusions.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at either. However, the color thing IS a good reason that we should 'buff' the emoting engine to make it a lot more interesting and powerful!
I think that the other solutions presented would do wonderfully. Someone should poke an admin and get feedback, we can put it in a report we really need to.

Many moons ago, I asked about the way the illusion detection worked and I was told that because of the way it works in the code, it has to be on it's own line and after the actual illusion. I.e., they can't just attach *illusion* to the beginning of the sentence etc.
if the illusion detection line was colored with a configurable color, then you could check if such a line had the correct color. And illusionists couldn't know which color your configuration set it as.

This is what I'm expecting:
o Discipline's Masochism will no longer be available to use during combat. It will
automatically disable when attacked and remain disabled until 60 seconds after you were last
attacked by another player. This ability is not meant to have an effect on PvP. If you find a
way to make it, please BUG it immediately.

Why are we talking about color? The easiest way is still to just put it with an *ILLUSION* tag... at the beginning of the line. Simple, no need to bother with colors (or guessing colors), and it fixes the problem in its entirety without affecting undetected illusions.
If the way detection currently works doesn't work with that, then it sounds like a legacy system that is bound to cause more problems in the future. Less simple, but perhaps necessary.

MKO does it that way

But it will just be an extension of how the skill works!

I'm going to close this thread now. I think it's run its course and fulfilled its purpose. We are now aware of the issue and there shall be further discussion on what we want to do about it.
Thank you. :)
