After I get the last two pieces i need i'm not going to rub any until the next group comes out. I'll just help people try and get their sets by trading for randoms.

It was quite the chore though when people were like i need an inkwell and then having to go through the individual list until i saw one and then could search for the square inkwell to see if i could help them. Now i can just look up inkwell!

Really, we more or less thought people would get one or two, and keep it set. I've heard comments about people just swapping them out midfight, which I suppose is something we didn't really anticipate. I'm not greatly concerned about it, but we'll see how things play out. Maybe we should add a decent eq cost for switching them (~5-6 seconds), so that it's not just done rapidly during combat, if there isn't one already?

I've argued and stated since we announced the future packs my belief people will generally only want to pursue one set. I knew and accept some people will want more than that, but I do think the average person will be fine with just one. Perhaps I'm wrong! It happens. But I don't really appreciate being accused of being lying or being deceptive, because I don't think I've ever talked to you all in a manner that is insulting to your intelligence (except Ardmore. It's not my fault he rides the short cubix to astral). Personally I'd probably buy two DMP, my 'set' and a DMP one of another 'org' type (ie if I was a mag I might buy a torch and the machinery line). Actually I'd buy them all but my OCD compulsive hoarding makes Viynain and Xenthos look like run-in-the-mill stamp collectors.

(Also, combatants aren't the better 'cash cows' - people tend to be willing to throw a lot more into ambiance and flavour than combat. While some people certainly put a lot into combat, I've seen a fair number put a metric ton into manses, pets, dwellers, etc - just for flavour. Then they pour more into cartels, shops, etc etc)

Anyone have a list of what all the new curios do yet. I know they're damage curios but what does what?

Looks like they parallel last week's DMP combination, but in buff form. So curios in the same set give the same DMP and buff.

From examining the curios I have:

Silver Feather - 10 magic buff (Bronze feather gives 15 magic dmp, and so on)
Gleaming Saw - 10 psychic buff
Ruby Rib - 10 blunt buff
Icy Snowflake - 10 asphyxiation buff
Disembodied Mouth - 5 magic, 5 psychic
Scholar's Notepad - 5 psychic, 5 blunt

Kinda getting annoyed... I like the flutter, light, sky, and astro sets in general but the ones that seem potentially useful to my character are in other sets :/

Mix and match the effects if you can. You could have the ambients active from the sets you like and the powers active from the sets that are useful. No one would know you had any that aren't displayed unless they looked in your pack. It'd be more expensive to collect, but flexible.

It's more that I'm now looking at five or six from this set, and we don't know what the next set is going to be nor the effects of collecting them all. There are a few possibilities that would have me turning around wanting money back.

Yeah, well, same dilemma.

I like the face, spider and flower collections for rp purposes, but they are way off for my character's needs. And I made the rune-inscribed torch because it had runes. Oh well! Having fun making other people happy by supplying curios. :D

Probably going to end up waiting until September to actually finish off my curio collection, since credit prices are just so crazy right now. 3 credits at 27K per is worse than 5 credits at even a pessimistic 15K per.

Well, had a busy weekend, but the damage enhancement curios page has been updated as best I could. Again, big thanks to all the contributors so far, but a bit of information is still missing!

In particular, the ambients for the pendulum, mouth, rib, handcuffs, and tongs are either missing one side, or not documented altogether! If you run across them, I'd appreciate being told the message and the colour according to CONFIG COLOUR, please!
