Some people just want to be cruel. :(

(I'd still probably find them anyway, even knowing this.)

Yes, yes they do, apparently!

Ewww. :( At least now I know to never turn that one on if I ever get any of these.

Aaaaand, tongs message for the ladyfolk is in. Thanks Dys!

What's the collection bonus ???
Xenthos2012-08-26 23:37:36
Nobody's completed one yet.

Here's why:

package62667: a package containing one travel curio 93 150000gp
package63255: a package containing five travel curios 99 750000gp
package65740: a package containing ten travel curios 97 1350000gp
package66376: a package containing twenty-five travel 95 3000000gp
package60626: a package containing fifty travel curio 99 5250000gp
package68327: a package containing one-hundred travel 99 9000000gp

1-hour in, and only 292 pieces are in the game.

There aren't enough people with bits to trade with each other to actually... accomplish anything.

Prices are just too high.

35,100,000 gold taken out of the economy in 1 hour?

Sweet.
Unknown2012-08-26 23:45:27
9 million for a package of 100. Wow.

Sweet.

If the price was half that, much more would have been taken out in that same time period.
I guarantee it, since I'd have thrown out 10m myself.

There aren't enough being sold to trade, buying just means you're screwed (and good luck completing anything). 'Tis a waste of time and gold.
Unknown2012-08-26 23:47:48
I was expecting maybe 3-5 million for the top package but I don't really know the in-game economy very well.

Five million base is what I was expecting.

Why?

There aren't enough other people buying to successfully trade. If I did, it would be an absolute waste of my time and gold, since I wouldn't be able to finish any of the sets I am working on.

79,750,000 and counting!

And they'd still have sucked out even more if they had priced them more reasonably; for example, both Xiel and Sojiro won't be buying any of 'em. At this point, I won't be either.

They gambled pretty heavily on this grabbing a lot of the gold out fast, and based on the numbers / statements they were throwing around when this started... it really hasn't done as much of that as it should have.

Compare to how many crates they sold from the second and third set (after the fixed wheel) in the first couple of hours. They should've sold that many now... honestly, people should be wanting to throw their gold at it, and, well... that just isn't happening. It's too expensive.
Unknown2012-08-27 00:47:58
Is the price reflective of the 30% artifact sale?
Xenthos2012-08-27 00:49:12
No, that's the final price.

I agree that the price could probably be dropped, and even more could be sold. Either way, I'm glad a large pile of gold is getting sucked up.
