This won't really be a big deal either way, but if it's not too much trouble...
On a chance to win curios from the wheel, can Czigany Curios and Magic Curios be separated? So a chance to win 3 Czigany Curios and a chance to win 3 Magic Curios will be exactly that, instead of getting 1 Czigany Curio and 2 Magic Curios, etc.

Xenthos:
It's definitely an interesting promotion, no way around that. And one that I'm going to continue participating in. :P
I'm just seeing it getting harder and harder to complete a specific set as more are introduced.
Well after we remove the asp/lantern set (so minus two from each type) there should be 16 sets total, with each 'type' having its own case. That's 160 curio potentials, with a 100 pack carrying at least 5 rare. That's pretty decent odds of completing a few curios over a half-dozen hundred stacks (which will be sold at the discounted price).
While I am sympathetic, by and large the people who went "all in" on curio crates didn't spend so much just to complete curios, but rather for the very, very rewarding rub gains and coins. I think, for the most part, you got what you went in for, and the vast majority came out on top. The crates won't be gone at the end of the month, and will be on discount again during the next artifact sale, so it's not as though you've missed your chance.
As to the wheel and curio gains, I don't think it's really worth the effort. The Wheel was never intended to be a source for finding missing curio parts, but only as a nice bonus. The main method, from day one, to get curio parts was from crates and then being traded. Even curios from the wheel were there with this intention - to be traded off for the ones you needed, as the odds were they aren't what you wanted.
I don't think jimmying the wheel to give you what you want is a real solution, irrelevant of whether or not I agree the perceived problem is real/a problem. The rub rates for coins are about to drop dramatically, and it would simply be fiscally irresponsible to think you can "get lucky" by rubbing a ton of curios, pray for coins, pray for the wheel to give a curio, then pray it ticks your way instead of away from you, then pray it gives you the one you're looking for.
I think in a month we'd be looking at a whole new set of suggestions for instant-curio finding of the set you want. I think you're better off trading.

I'm hoping there is a moon themed one and that it is in the same set as one of my already complete ones.
And the lantern has me intrigued but I'm glad it is being released later.

Any chance on us knowing the name or theme of the curio sets with the next release of curios so folks can collect accordingly?

I'm betting we can probably work it out from two. Hey, we can probably make a good guess from one. #savethesurprise

I don't think anyone ever told Bruce Banner that his temper was a weakness. Particularly to his face. And lived to tell.
You have been warned, Ardmore. B)

So... where are the new packages that were promised for August 12th? Are they not going to be released anymore now?
Rakor2012-08-13 00:09:42
Why wouldn't they be?

Alright, and with that neato announce, the curios and their collections have begun unfolding. Further information would be appreciated for the names of the curio collections not listed here! If I'm remembering right, I still need the collection names for the butterfly, eyeball, feather, bear, star, wrench and cog curios which you can see by doing CURIOS ALL!
Ayisdra2012-08-13 02:55:19
Star is Astro
Rakor2012-08-13 02:59:59
Eyeball is Face, cog is Mechanical
Xiel2012-08-13 03:02:30
Thanks and thanks! Butterfly, feather, bear and wrench left!
