Sojiro:

Reintroduce curio crates for gold again, also.

It's been nerfed enough to ensure it won't unbalance things too much, right?

I would be entirely fine with this. Perhaps also split the crates up between the "generations" of curios.

You could create some kind of basin orphanage with an event or something and then let people donate to it for an influence buff since all the denizens would be impressed by your generosity.

For the more sinister of us you could include some kind of back door where an unscrupulous employee would rent out orphans that would intercept bashing attacks kinda like bodyguard in beastmastery.

Taming system, and then we could auction off critters to each other. Or maybe a curio auction system? Hm

Critter battling system, use special globes to capture them when their health is sufficiently low or when they're properly afflicted by paralysis or sleep.

Will the four(five) elite battlers that you must face after battling 8 other registered battles for tokens be npcs or real players?

Except those crazy inferno beetles, that run away even when asleep.

I kind of feel like it would be nice if the 2nd-5th largest of family aetherships/manses/bankaccounts also produced honour of some measure. When it is only the top family and them alone, it doesn't really encourage you to work against them since you have no indication of progress at all. If there's more families to pass/compete with along the way, there is more room for motivation. Granted, I'm not sure if competing to add lots and lots of extra rooms to the game is what the administration wants, but it would be something else for gold expenditure.

^This. I desire it to a ridiculous extent.

*capture Zenobia*

You need a Hamadhiball to capture entities of Zenobia's strength.

Unfortunately, there's only one, and I don't have problems with invasive criminals in my empire.

Just then, Team Sprocket-- critter-trafficking branch of the notorious Gnafia-- bursts in, holding the Star Palace hostage!

And I zap them.

Next?

If it was that easy why didn't you just zap them the time they almost ended life as we know it? I'm calling your bluff!

Because I was rooting for the Gnafia.

You all get really tiresome sometimes!

I'm assuming that the fourth curio package being bought for gold is partly because of this thread, and for that: Thank you! It should at least help bring the levels down a little bit. Hopefully we'll also see a more permanent solution as well later on :)
Eventru2012-08-07 21:43:44
Be careful what you assume! Est thinks pretty far ahead sometimes... :)

And we're always looking for good suggestions on solid gold sinks!

For 1,000,000 gold, Eventru will follow you around and fulfill your whims for an IC day.

* Note: If you abuse him too much, he might kill you (repeatedly) once the day is done.

1m gold? You guys said that was pocket change. 80m gold, maybe.

And nothing about the agreement says you have to live to see the end of the day. In fact, killing you repeatedly means you won't be able to have whims for a day. Hmmm...

Sure it does; at least if one's whim includes "remaining alive and un-toasted".

Besides, you want people to actually put their money into it. At 1 million each, it'll drain away; at 80m nobody will buy. It's a sacrifice, but I am sure you can bear it!

Just thought of something else that might make manses slightly more popular: Add a manse-upgrade that allows you to access a (much extended) rift. Its capacity would be upwards of 20k or something (basically mass-storage of anything riftable). Why, then, would people choose to upgrade their own rifts or their shop rifts? Because you can run around with your own rift as much as you want, and sometimes it's not large enough (read: harvesters and alchemists), and if your shop rift is too small, you might sell out of it before you can restock it.

Besides, it's already technically feasible to do the above without the rift part by just dropping the grouped items in your private manse. The groups shouldn't decay, after all.
