Most groups have 50. Some have more. Depends on the person who did them, and how big of a masochist they are. We have the option to add more to all the groups.

Okay, here's how it works:
An admin creates a set of ikons (usually 50, more if they hate themselves) and sets three variables (strength, initiative, and effect). Quality, power cost, and cooldown are all automatically calculated by the code and aren't directly editable. Then the admin fiddles with those three variables until they get a set distribution of qualities, which for the most part means only one or two legendaries in a set. All the non-Eternal sets are set up this way so that if someone in an org wants to play with only org-related sets (ie Hallifax and Air) they are not disadvantaged by someone from a different org having access to more legendary ikons.
I hope this clears up any questions on how these ikons get their stats and why not every smob/important mob is a legendary or epic ikon.

Subj: The Annual Ikon Tournaments.
I am proud to announce that, as of the 1st of Estar 338CoE, the first annual Ikon Tournament will begin. Anyone with a gestalt can participate in this tournament, and up for grabs is both the prestige of proving you are the best, and a whole bundle of free Ikons!
You will immediately become ranked upon completing your first ranked Ikon battle using the syntax GESTALT CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT. Your ranking will be visible on RANKINGS PSYCHODRAMA. At the end of each year, the top ten ranked participants will receive a free Ikon, and the top three will receive even more Ikons on top of that, including some from the famed Eternal group.
Participants may take part in no more than 10 ranked battles per month, and the greater the difference between your and your opponent's score, the more points will be at stake (approximately +1 point for every 10 points between you).
Let the battles begin!
