Working solely with grayscale this time, the artist has attempted to depict an associate of hers (one of the myriad Avatars of the Lord-and-Lady Mysrai, which shall no doubt fail to surprise anyone familiar with the artist) standing in the face of hardship, based upon certain accounts of past events. A particular challenge was capturing his suit of igasho plate in all its glory; for the sake of not waiting until the next syzygy, said armor was highly stylized and simplified. There was a great deal of shed fur on the floor of the studio after various posing sessions were complete. The simple border was added to help tie the piece together without cluttering it unduly.
