Races of Lusternia by Dazar
Merit for January 2006
The creatures you see, roaming the lands,
They run alone, or in bands,
To each his own, and let them be,
But come and take a look with me.
Look there's an Aslaran out on the plains.
See the big and bushy mane?
See how fast he moves, while hunting that rat.
What a warrior he would make with speed like that.
Oh wait, look there.
Could that be a giant bear?
It is so large, so strong look see.
Oh wait, that must be a Tae'dae.
There, look fast and you might see
a Furrikin hiding behind that tree
She's so small and fuzzy, see?
oops, she rolled right under that fallen tree.
Come with me, let us look far and wide.
Oh my, is that a Merian trying to hide?
Smart as a whip, although sometimes shy,
Ocean dwellers, yes I think that is why.
Let us see what else we can find by and by,
Look there, a Loboshigaru I do spy.
Hearty and strong, and fast to heal,
although who knows what those wolfmen use for a meal.
What was that? Did you see?
That Faeling fly by that tree?
He was so small I almost missed him.
Small and smart, hard to hit. Especially if I tried for a limb.
Feel that ground shake? Look all around,
there's bound to be an Igasho walking this ground.
Giants, the largest by far,
I'd hate to argue with one, especially one with a scar.
Look there, that short man you see,
He must be a Dwarf thinks me,
Short and stocky, strong and hard,
and one of the best axelords by far.
Look up there, flying so high,
she must be a Trill, up in the sky.
I hear that no trills grow hair on their head,
they have a cap of downy feathers instead.
There, basking on the beach
That must be one of those Dracnari beasts,
Descended from Dracnoris the Dragon God,
some Draconari can breath fire, isn't that odd?
Oh, look at that creature there with the long sleeves,
that is a Lucidian I do believe,
during they day they regain energy anywhere outside of a city,
their cold logic makes them pretty witty.
Hear that bellow? See the dust cloud?
That must be a herd of those Taurian, how loud.
Terrible tempers they all have,
I wonder what it is that makes them so mad?
Ah, now here's a strange one.
That woman over there who is as red as the sun,
She is a Viscanti, twisted by the taint,
be careful you don't want to faint.
Now there's a sight, look at that there,
An Elfen sitting about with no care,
beautiful creatures those Elfen are,
at night they outshine the brightest star.
And there in the swamp, look at that,
it must be a Mugwump, now fancy that,
it looks like a frog, or maybe a salamander,
few things can think as fast as a Mugwump I gather.
Oh my look at that one-eyed creature,
it must be a Krokani judging by it's features,
not the brightest of lad without a doubt,
but just look at him fling that club about.
There's a beast, if ever I saw one,
A fearsome Orclach, if a bit dumb
just look at that red glow in it's eyes,
they are best with a two-handed blade so stay away from that guy.
Well that's about it,
all the creatures you see.
What was that?
Oh, your wondering about me?
Well I am a human,
as you can see.
Quick to learn,
nothing special about me.
Now we're done,
that's all there is,
now go, run,
and remember to have some fun.
