Thoughts of faith by Moralis
Runner Up for March 2006
The song of wood
Growing still green
Beckoning along I
A dream serene
Sylvan glades
Tranquil groves
Harts path first I went
A circled trove
Standing stones
Echoed old call
Of ancient following
From before Fall
Singing voices
Whispered word
From the deep of forest
She was first heard
Shining songs
Summery bright
Her face took my heart
On wings alight
An ancient she
Divine creator
First made the birds sing
Echoed later
In larks song
Sparrows mirth
Singing their love to her
Their thank for birth
At first sight
Soul made hers
My path was then chosen
To follow hers
Seeing forest
She knew despair
Once a great life, so low
Was of life, bare
Choked, aghast
Tear'd cheek
Comforting her as best
Could one meek
Great toil
Dedicated
To healing wood, her smile
Course mated
After years
When done at last
Betrayal of friends
Eyes saw past
Alone in dark
I helped watch
Over the young growth
Its match
From then past
Now to present
Amidst the great trees
By Lady sent
Then I was struck
By quavering
Weakness of my thoughts
I then raving?
Then called I
To follow Crow
A wyrden path shadowed
Dare I there go
Great teacher
Baleful red eye
Learning of druidry
His student, I
I under him
Would grow, learn
New thoughts to shape me
Mind to churn
What art, what art
From hands flow
That bring forth flowers
From bed of snow
All this for her
Dedication
Safe mind, from strife a
Medication
Faith in her
My absolute
The goddess my lady
My souls root.
