An Eve on Celestia by Forren

Merit for June 2006

'Twas an eve on Celestia, and all through the plane,
Angels were singing, feeling no pain.
A soft breeze was felt as the cherubs held hands,
And they danced in large circles, quick feet on the sands.

Celestia's angels were not all alone,
As Holy Supernals watched over their home.
Raziela in her arbour, blossoming with love,
Japhiel in his court, weighing justice above.

Methrenton wielding the weapons of Light,
Shakiniel ready to defend in a fight.
Elohora sitting on her holy throne,
Yet these Supernals are not alone.

From Celest came visitors to this holy place,
Of several guilds, and many a race.
They came to relax, bask in the glow,
Remember the Light of Celest years ago.

Through Raziela's pillar did two of them fling,
Sitting and talking on that Supernal's swing.
A paladin squire, there with his lady.
Proposing to her with a ring and a daisy.

At the Pool of Stars did two Aquamancers speak,
Of the melding and training they did just last week.
Touching the water to meld to their body,
They hoped to defend against anyone naughty.

On prime did the trouble begin to brew,
As evil planned the deeds it must do.
The Tainted legions did ready their swords,
And vials were filled to satisfy the hordes.

Their leader boasted about what they will do.
Slay cherubs, and devas, and Celestians too!
He held out the cubix and touched the device,
And the Aquamancers sensed something not very nice.

The paladin previously kissing his lass,
Learned of the invaders, and moved quite fast.
They went to the Pool, preparing defenses
To use against the Tainted invaders' demesnes.

The soldiers of Celest went out to the fight
Praying the Supernals would bless them this night.
They stood apart from them, a wall separated,
As the filthy Magnagorans killed cherubs, elated.

Swiftly went forth the defenders of Light,
As the Supernals blessed them in their darkened plight.
The demesne was broken, their will shaking,
As surely undead limbs had been breaking.

The Aquamancers summoned a hailstorm quite high,
And piercing needle rain ran down from the sky.
Viscanti skin burning, a typhoon raging,
The invaders were slain to stop their rampaging.

And so did the battle for Celestia end,
For this eve at least, they did defend
The Light that did bless with holy love,
The Light that did guide their path from above.

A huge burst of light came up to their faces,
Blessing their souls with infinite graces.
Elohora did speak, her words soothing fright.
"Defenders, be blessed, and blessed is the Light."

A huge burst of light did erupt where they stood,
And everyone kneeled as best as they could.
Lady Elohora spoke, the words soothing fright:
"Defenders, be blessed, and blessed is the Light."
