Celestial Consulate by Wuylinfe

Runner Up for April 2007

A Joyous Day

With flowing hair like morning suns
And azure eyes like shining seas
He who brought song to those of sky
He who sprung tears from deserts dry
Thus so aptly named is
the Sidereal Prince

A voice resonating through the harshest hearts
Indistinguishable from His own silver harp
Ever young, ever pure
Ever sweet, evermore
The blessed choirs of Celestia could not compare

Frolicking with the passing wind
Dancing in the sighing rain
Live and love
Sing and share
For now is here, and now we are
Before the sun sets, and we long for days afar

A Wordless Riddle

Abated breath across the land
The day weds night hand in hand
Wrapped in mists He did emerge
First, fifth, seventh or third
No one knows except
the Enigma

The blackest abyss falls too deep
The brightest beacon burns too soon
A flickering candle sits eternally
Waxen flesh of mortal bone
Blue-tongued flame of wisdom's own

Pondering upon the granite stand
The answers sought are the questions asked
Pause, breathe deeply
Wait, speak slowly
Then gaze into the scrying pool
What there remains, a sage or a fool

A Heartfelt Smile

Hope rises from ivory ashes
Healing hand through tides of darkness
Soundly sleep 'neath His watchful gaze
Humble guardian of dulcet prayers
Basking in the warmth of
the White Flame

Through trial and toil the soul awakes anew
Vision and clarity, the heart remains true
Blessed are those touched by His grace
Home and sanctuary, a quiet solace
A marble plinth guards the restful hearth

Passing through the cleansing fires
Purged of sin and ill intent
Gaze and grasp at the infinite stars
Speak and smile with an honest eye
For to lie is to close a weakened heart
To wander aimless in the lonely dark

A Fatal Waltz

Golden flash across the heavens
Dimming stars by its holy light
With blazing blades held at Her side
And loyal followers who strictly comply
Stand stoically and herald
the Even Bladed

Deftly do the crisscrossed swords fly
A ballroom dance before inevitable demise
Fluidly, graceful, underwater
Perfect rhythm without pause nor falter
Step swiftly and disperse the shadow

Uphold those who are held dear
Purge the Basin of its unfortunate smear
Shine brighter and bolder
Strike firmer and faster
But remember which way the scale may tilt
Else forget thyself and face a gauntlet of guilt

A Perfect Sky

Sun-kissed rain upon Her brow
Blushing tulips within Her smile
So fondly do the bluebirds sing
To take embrace beneath Her wing
None who laughs as pure, as sweet, as
the Aesthete

A churning dream without conclusion
Whilst opal clouds sail through the ocean
Against the lips of lilac mountains
For now we wait by the scarlet shore
When the midnight sky will shine once more

Betwixt the lilies in sacred repose
Brush the canvas with strokes of time
To play amongst the rosy blossoms
To paint beneath the saffron moon
Truest wonders within small pleasures
Or forlorn fantasies that live forever
