The Price of Beauty by Amelie
Merit for May 2008
Moonlit night blankets the sky,
The world in Mother's sweet embrace.
Raindrops that the clouds did cry,
Upon the river's surface grace.
A tainted beauty bathed in those waters,
Ivory skin bare and raven hair flowing.
A peeping girl did sneak, peer and dawdle,
Enamored by Beauty captivating.
Beauty did notice the snooping voyeur,
And ruby lips twisted in a sinister smile.
She beckoned the girl with the curl of a finger,
And entranced the girl, Voyeur beguiled.
Beauty pressed on, a tune on her lips,
And the girl was lost in Beauty's embrace.
Beauty snatched her into a passionate kiss,
A private moment in a quiet place.
Skin on skin and drenched in sweat,
Desperate, Voyeur cried aloud.
That rainy night two bodies met,
Underneath Night's inky shroud.
With sickening grin and metallic flash,
Voyeur gasped and in horror recoiled.
Beauty laughed and with a vicious slash,
Spilled Voyeur's blood upon the soil.
Beauty stared, thus fascinated,
And Voyeur lamented her indulgence of vice.
Beauty's lust for blood was sated,
And our Cruel Lady gained a sacrifice.
