Twilight by Pruxi

Runner Up for September 2009

I play with sound and silence,
I, the hated, I the scorned.
I play from my heart,
You hear nothing but dissonance.
I could teach you of wonders,
The sweet rush of melody,
the thrum of harmony.
You listen not.

I weave light and shadows,
I, the horrible. I, the worthless.
I bring forth images from my mind,
You see nothing but ugliness.
I could teach you of wonders,
the shining rays of hope,
the cool calmness of reality.
You see not.

You call down the brightest of angels,
You, the pure. You, the holy.
You sing of perfection,
I hear nothing but extermination.
You could teach me of wonders,
the surety of righteousness,
the protection of unity.
I hear you not.

You spread warmth and compassion,
You, the kind. You, the just.
Your arms provide solace,
I feel only selfishness
You could teach me of wonders
he healing of caring,
the safety of friends.
I feel you not

Our voices mingle and balance,
I, the dark. You, the light.
Our song creates existence,
We hear the soul of the basin.
We praise our wonders
The vibration of truth,
The song of change.
We hear all.

Our beings merge and reform,
I, the cold. You, the warm.
Our hearts create twilight,
We are beautiful.
We praise our wonders,
The pull of different souls,
The reality of duality.
We are all.
