Old Prophecies of Night by Golgothura

Merit for November 2009

Descended of Treeheart and all she brewed
amassed the magick of forests, anewed

A Tree to the North, to guard the Stag
a beacon of Moon and the bitter white hag

To the West rose a Tree, laden with sap
were Great Bear dwelled in nigh-constant nap

The Southern winds blew through a great Dark Tree
where Raven took roost and Night danced free

Descended of Treeheart and all she brew
amass the magick of forests, anew

Moondancing maidens scurry to ride
hallowed beams of bright lunar tide

Fur'ed folk sing to great, vast Lake,
partake of mead, devour honeycake

Blackened Covens exault the Queen
and dance the hour, now unseen

Descended of Treeheart and all she brought
condemned the forests to ruin and rot

Wilde and pure, the North shall endure,
brazen and proud, albeit insecure

West shall be East Afar and Away
ascended to heavens, escaping as prey

Roots shall be scarred, blood will be shed
Shadows shall come to nest royal bed

Descended of Treeheart and all they start
still fly the sky and dance the part
