Fae for Mother Moon by Tredian

Winner for December 2009

Within the realms of Queen Maeve,
I run fast, merrilly.
Climbing trees, and soaring sky
With my broom and loyal fae.

Upon my hands, a flow'r I held
that glowed of silver dim.
Giv'n to me by Mother Moon
Through First Crone, Albion.

It was to mark me as Her child
as I speak with the fae.
To show them that in Moon there's strength
and ever-present shield.

Fluctuating shafts I have called down
to help me start the dance:
Empow'ring fae, from sylphs to sprites,
to show them where life is.

From lessons that our tutor taught
about the skills of tongue,
Through compliments and honest praise,
not long before they felt...

The sudden craving for Mother's love
and gifts that she bestows.
The nearest source of Mother's light
the flow'r upon my hands.

O they embraced its glorious glow..
alluring, floral scent..
Rhythmic, I lead them to the Moon,
Her Faces three (that is).

The joy that filled my heart that month
was equal with no fae's.
Their blooming faces, beaming smiles..
In Silver Light they bathed.

And then they ran, set free like wind
In Ether Serenwilde..
Praising Moon through dance and songs
while chanting lovely laughs.

My loyal fae were chuckling too,
Happy for their friends.
I patted them and bade them thanks
I knew they wished to play.

With graceful bow, they said goodbye
Now I watch EtherWilde.
My eyes, that squint, have seen a beam
That fell down from the sky.

I ran so fast, then sprinted quick
To the beam I saw..
And in the room it filled with light,
A Lady stood with poise.

Beside her was a peacock, blurred,
And a fleeting stag.
They glowed of Mother's aura, bright,
For essence they contained.

The Lady, champion of the fae,
That walked down from the sky.
Now vows to fight for Mother Moon
Like woodsmen of the Wilde..

These blessings are from Mother Moon
for bringing in lost fae.
Now fae have life, the Moonhart grows!
How fun this day had been!
