THE DIVINE COMPENDIUM OF THE ELDER WARS
a scholarly work by
Maestra of Gaudiguch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
AUTHOR'S NOTE
The following information is no more and no less than what it is presented as; a
reference text for those students interested in learning about those Divinities
Who took part in the Elder Wars. Importantly, no inference should be drawn from
omission; that a particular Deity or act is not depicted herein is no guarantee
that such does not exist or did not take place. Some of the Divine are named
only, for History has been particularly loathe to bear up the fullness of their
deeds.
Equally, it should be noted that this compendium is entirely reliant on
secondary and even tertiary information. The author implies no final authority
on the veracity of any statement made herein, and none should be interpreted.
No theological bias is intended by anything writ herein, nor is any judgment
made whatsoever on any of these Beings Whose nature and scope is far beyond the
understanding of this humble faeling.
It is for this very reason that the controversial decision was made to include
the Soulless Gods in this compendium. Without Them, there would have been no
Elder Wars. Whilst some individuals will find Their inclusion to be distasteful
and tactless, They are a part of history, no less important than the
Cosmogenesis itself. Their inclusion implies neither celebration nor
condemnation of Their existence or deeds, any more than is made by reference to
any other thing herein.
Yes, this is a work of scholarly pursuit foremost, but secondly it is a first
stepping stone, a taster of the wealth of information that lies out there yet to
be uncovered. The author encourages, no â€"begs- that any beliefs or knowledge
that conflicts with what follows will be brought out to its proper place: the
austere light of peer review, scholarly debate and academic scrutiny.

A NOTE ON CIRCLES
It is an interesting quality of Dynara's most dynamic creation that the souled
Gods naturally fell into an order of sorts. Seemingly, with no further
instruction or impetus from Dynara than that which had been woven into Their
very nature, the Gods 'spontaneously' formed a meaningful, useful and observable
structure. That the Circles are Meaningful is evidenced by the fact that each
Circle can be described with a single word; that is eloquence in motion. That
they are Useful is evidenced by the important, discrete and distinct role that
each Circle has played at every notable stage of recorded history. Finally,
their Observable nature, that the Circles clearly exist outside of mere
abstraction, has sadly never been evidenced more convincingly than through
Zenos' clear preference for hunting and devouring members of the Fourth.
It is pure conjecture, but this student finds it most interesting that no such
order is evident in the Soulless Gods, who seem as wont to devour one another as
the rest of Dynara's creation. Perhaps, then, the dichotomy between Dynara and
Magnagora is not so much Creation vs Destruction, not so much Life vs Death, nor
even Good vs Evil. Perhaps it is merely Order vs Disorder.

GLOSSARY
*Cadre*
Denoting a Divine (Second Circle?) fighting group.
*Coterie*
A Divine task group (especially a ‘think tank’ of the Fifth Circle)
*Excoroperditio*
A Soulless' source of inner strength and power.
*Fain’s Elixir*
A draught made of excoroperditio, Fain’s Elixir was a superlatively powerful

two examples). Fain’s Elixir did, however, make those exposed to it notably
more powerful, both physically, spiritually and mentally.
*Hamadhi*
Denoting a member of the Third Circle devoted to healing and caring.
*Immanidivinus*
A Divine’s source of inner strength and power.
