An Ode to Mother Moon by Ghrowlii
Merit for March 2013
She shines above the ailing fir
Spreading her power and light
None dare to challenge her
All must bow to her might
Whence she comes and whence she goes
With ne’re a sound nor sight
‘Tis a mystery to all
But one thing is certain to all her foes
Whether you be bard or knight
None can resist her call
Slivers of silver and bridges of milk
Adorns her from crescent to full
Wearing robes of glittering silk
Singing verses to lull
Changes in present form
From Maiden to Mother to Crone
She welcomes all to her quiet abode
From the raging dark of the storm
In the face of trouble she shone
The seed of light in souls worthy sowed
‘Pon the nigh of disaster struck
The Silver Lady of the nightly sky
Joined with Lisaera o’er the havoc
The Silver Goddess of the Fae
O’ertook the Darkness gloom
And kept the Seren free of Taint
Now her followers continue this way
To rid the Basin of the darkest doom
To release all life from its constraint
And so o’er the world the light holds sway
