Hexen Moondancer by Tredian
Merit for August 2013
Moonlight wanes
Evening falls
Guardian stands
With trembling hands
Moonlight blinks
Darkness reigns
The Silverlit
Is seen no more
Faethorn held
By rotten lie
But keeps the vow
To serve the Night
Fae are bound
And freedom gone
Nature chokes
In Wyrd Taint spun
Shadows creep
In EtherWilde
As Night's one seeks
To make it reek
And Guardian stands
And Guardian fears
And Guardian hears
A Lady shout
and fall...
Then darkness paled
By darker orb
That wades through sky
And sees it all
And Guardian feels
Its wrathful glow
The sorrow made
By truth once known
"Night was not
Like this before
Oh shine your light
Let truth be known."
His silver eyes
Of darker hue
Shone through the night
This darkness true
And trotted on
His golden horse
With giggling fae
By his side stayed
"Night one" called
The Guardian dark
"Come and be,
embraced by light."
"Never!" with
A dagger drawn
And sends his fae
Just like a pawn
But glowed in air
And faded quick
Were glyphs of fate
That were drawn quick
"Then rest," the Guardian
Whisphered soft
"Return to days,
The days of old
When true Gloriana
Was still aloft."
But Night one screams
"Gloriana's dead!"
Steals Guardian's shadow
And twists its head
The Guardian's head
Did hurt so much
And felt his legs
To break in two
And moaned in pain
"What did you do?"
The Guardian's shadow
In the hands of Night
Were twisted more
And more and more
And Guardian fell
In shortened breaths
In weakened mind
His body sore
And warm tears fell
As he raised his head
And seeks to remember
What the Moon has said
As the foe cackled loud
Silence ruled over sound
In his heart, as he hears
Dark Moon shine in his tears
"Remember child
In your heart is the light
For when reigns Night
And I am hidden from sight
You are My light,
To this world...
My light.."
Silver spread
It's healing touch
Guardian standing
Cured and Glowing
Brightly Shining
Harmless fire
Revealed the foe
Vines entrapped him
There is no where to go
Surprise gripped
This one of Night
As he says, ever softly
"It cannot be.."
And then suddenly
The glyphs were thrown
Upon the Guardian's foe
Binding his body
His thinking made slow
The foe's senses flew
In just a seconds few
"Struggle no more"
And with this he threw
The glyphs he knew
Would bring Night's one
To visions true
Hexes of sleep
And the foe fell deep
As his mare breathed clouds
To aid in the sleep
Mother Moon revealed
In the shadowbound's dreams
Visions of silver
Visions of green
Of life, of old
Of days happy still
Gloriana's dark roses
Dark, pure beauty it once held
And the fae smelling flowers
And years felt like hours
"Now with mercy send him back
To the cycles of Life,
That I may give him a chance
To turn back from his cruel
way of life."
Visions of waking
Of larger things
Vision of flies
And the nutrition it brings
Vision of a foot
Of ribbitting and hopping
Vision of Death
And of Life that may be
"Night one, be free..."
