We are specks of sand

against the soulless that

tower over

us in patience, waiting

for when we

fail and moving forwards

to consume

us all.

Faith is needed, in

those divine

beings who have fought

the Soulless and

lost friends and enemies

together one and the same,

but we strive

on for life

to make

Their sacrifice not

in vain and it

is so easy to

squander things given

to us

but

this must not be,

for when the sand

falls through the hourglass

and does

not return to try again,

we fail and let

down those who sacrificed

for us so that

we become great

boulders

against the sea, stalwart

reminders of

what has gone before and

what there is to fight

for.
