A pondering of portals -- Emmaline by Emmaline
Merit for October 2014
Some portals are fated
while others, divine
Some portals for novices
clearly defined
Newton's sweet portals
Both golden and iron
kept by fink and gnome
Who seem never to tire
And isn't it strange?
An arrangement like this?
To have beautiful portals
locked tight in their fists?
Should they not be free
To serve whom they choose?
Open and welcome
Or rejecting their use?
Such strong arches like these
surely can't be confined
When so many gears,
and widgets combine!
The day will come soon
When bright gleaming breaks loose
And the gates of gold warp
Iron levers seduce
And the Shroomies will warn
Of great quakings and storms
They will guard higher ground
Against newcomers' swarms
Lolliprin hills will be peaceful, forgotten
Freshly fated, the arches, their state misbegotten.
