I loaded a change for Kata forms. See the AB help file for more details.
Or read this.
You now specify a momentum level when crafting forms. You always start
with a level 1 version of the form when creating a new one, but after
that you can create more advanced variations of that same form.
When you perform the form, it will pick the most advanced variation of
that form that is less than or equal to your current momentum.
First thing to note is that if you do nothing to your existing forms
then they will behave 100% the same as before. If you create forms as
you always did with just one variation per form then this will not
impact you. The reason is that if your form only has a level 1 variation
then that's the highest it can pick, regardless of your current
momentum. It only changes things when you define higher level
variations.
This should reduce the number of forms you have to manage in your
systems since it is common to have a sequence of forms you use depending
on your current momentum. Plus it will help keep you under the cap of
100 forms.
Also note that you can define forms up to momentum level 6. You only go
up to 5, but 6 is the level you get when you use the boosting skill to
go higher than 5. I also tweaked the text for losing momentum so that it
never says "momentum level 0," because the mechanics treat no momentum
and level 1 momentum as being the same thing. I didn't want people
thinking that level 0 was a real momentum level and then wondering why
they can't create a level 0 form variation. So if you have trigger text
for that then double check it.
