It all started late one cold, Estar evening, the sound of Luckie the
female leprechaun's voice shrieking across the Serenwilde Forest at her
husband, Goldie the Leprechaun. First to arrive was the Lady Kalista
Hartfire-Valente of the Spiritsingers, followed quickly by the
Serenguard, Relk Valente, both arriving just in time to witness the two
leprechaun's tossing clothes and minor insults towards one another as
they rushed about their humble mushroom.
After finally getting them both to calm down, Kalista and Relk were
asked to deliver a secret message to the wild leprechauns of the
Faethorn Court. The message was of a great importance, one the two could
not get wrong or it could cause some serious problems in the leprechaun
community.
The message was simply, "The shining shamrocks have found their tails
and dance the mushroom circle."
Taking mental notes, Kalista and Relk set off into the Ethereal Realm
and into Faethorn Court, searching desperately for any sign of the
leprechauns until finally they found one, and delivered the message,
causing a great amount of excitement in the little fae before returning
to the mushroom to let the leprechauns know the message was delivered
and with a quiet thanks, all was back to normal within Goldie's
Mushroom.
The quiet of the Serenwilde was once again interrupted by the voices of
Luckie and Goldie shrieking across the forest. Arriving quickly to see
what was going on, Fern Mes'ard of the Hartstone Druids, followed
swiftly by Kinson Talnara of the Shofangi Monks arrived to find both
leprechauns racing about once again, Luckie yelling about an occasion of
a life-time and Goldie demanding clean socks and undergarments from his
beloved as she rushed about trying to get herself ready as well.
With the aid of Fern, and the sewing expertise of Dugan, Goldie and
Luckie were able to find themselves some new clothes for the pending
unknown occasion. It was then agreed that a mighty feast fit for a king
would be the best way to celebrate such an occasion, and patient Lexa of
the Moondancers slaved over the stoves for hours to provide each
tantalising dish.
While the meal was being prepared, it was discerned that the humble home
of the leprechauns wasn't going to be sufficient to house the many
guests expected to be arriving, so the dining hall within the Serenwilde
proper was suggested and agreed to be a fitting place for the feast so
everyone relocated from the mushroom and into the dining hall where Lexa
brought her elegant dishes and displayed them for all to see and smell.
Just as everyone was beginning to salivate over the delicious meal, the
strange voice of Glitter Cloverleaf echoed through the forest, calling
for his brother, Goldie, to come fetch him as he and the others had
arrived. A few members of the Serenwilde went to fetch Glitter, along
with Glimmer Copperpot and Gleam Silverpockets and brought them back to
the dining hall where they were seated and Luckie instructed everyone to
enjoy then lovely meal before it spoiled and that announcements would be
made later.
Once everyone's bellies had been filled and thirst quenched, Goldie
stood before everyone to announce the reason for such a gathering,
explaining that long ago, he was once a member of the Golden Triad of
Leprechaun's, a secret organisation of three leprechaun families amongst
the leprechaun community whose sole purpose was to search and uncover a
sacred artifact of old Leprechaun Lore, a special pot forged long ago.
Goldie's sole purpose in life had been finding the pot, that was until
he met Luckie and fell in love, and with her abandoned his quest and
headed to the Serenwilde where they now reside. It was then up to
Goldie's brother, Glitter to take up the quest and join the Triad to
find the ancient artifact which had eluded them until now.
Glitter presented the artifact to those gathered, a cast iron pot, plain
and simple to which caused a little confusion and skepticism. Glitter
then announce that though plain, it held great power and all it needed
was to be activated. Many people cooed in anticipation in how it worked,
eventually figuring it needed gold sovereigns and gem clusters to
produce magical golden coins. After much time, patience and money were
spent, with generous donations from many, namely Raguel Hartfire and
with a massive donation from Aiyana Mes'ard and her Hartstone Druids,
the pot was activated and enough golden coins created.
Glitter, Glimmer and Gleam then each took up the golden coins produced
and asked to be taken to a different spot within the Serenwilde Forest
that they had seen whilst touring the forest. Each leprechaun once
arrived at their destination, endowed the location with an iridescent
rainbow which arced into the sky and off into the distance, and before
departing along the rainbows, blessing their guide with a little
leprechaun luck.
