Father Sun rose early one Shanthin morning, heralding the sounds of
bloodshed across the Basin of Life. Throughout the highways and leading
into the mountains, strange dark suits of armour slew anything within
their path, laying waste to many young travelers oblivious to their
presence. Before long, many more experienced adventurers made their way
along the highways, seeking out and eradicating the invaders. After a
time the threat looked to have abated, no more suits of armour could be
found, however Wiciwen, the Dowager of Rockholm and Signus, the Seer of
Southgard were struck by terrible visions. Both dwarven seers began to
go somewhat crazy from their visions, babbling and spluttering half
muttered sentences about a terrible darkness and an evil uprising.
The Queen of Southgard, Ethilwen Varrim began yelling at the top of her
voice as two suits of armour were trying to capture her, though luckily
the Glomdoring forces were not far away and soon came to her rescue.
Once the queen had been saved, question began to flow about what these
suits of armour were, and more importantly, where they had come from.
Before the questions could be answered in full, the voice of Ethildora
Varrim, Ethilwen's sister, screeched across the Basin, demanding
Ethilwen to relinquish her crown and declare Ethildora the new Queen of
the Dwarves. Ethilwen swiftly refused and soon the thunderous sound of
marching and the terrified screams of dwarves echoed across the lands,
Ethildora had invaded the dwarven kingdom, determined to claim her
crown.
The forces of Glomdoring swiftly dispatched of the threat in Southgard,
whilst the dark army continued to wreak havoc throughout the village of
Rockholm. Various adventurers set out across the lands in search of
Ethildora in hopes of putting an end to her evil plot. Mirami Wolfsong
was first to arrive at the entrance of the newly discovered Chancel of
Clangoran Mysteries, but it was Krellan of the Blacktalon who was first
to enter its sacred walls.
Opposing forces soon broke out into a heated battle within the Chancel,
until finally it was determined that the threat attacking the Basin was
more important. Soon enemies became civil and began working together to
solve the mystery within the Chancel. After hours of searching and
avoiding dangerous perils, it was Xenthos An'Ryshe who opened the great
stone walls to the legendary Forge of Vernal God, Klangratch. Within the
forge, Ethildora laid waiting, guarded by her dark warriors, but they
were no match for the forces of Glomdoring who swiftly destroyed them
and lead Thorgan, the Keeper of the Forge inside where he helped Xenthos
perform a ritual to bless the fires of the forge and to banish the evil
army that plagued the dwarven villages and freed the Basin from the evil
clutches of Ethildora Varrim.
What other mysteries lie waiting within the Chancel are yet to be
discovered, will they be used for good, or for evil?
