Many Happy Celebrations! (brought to you by the little folk)

As you may have heard, the dwarves and gnomes are eagerly preparing for
celebrations to share with the Basin, the Klangfest celebration on
behalf of the dwarves, and the Scrapgiving festival on behalf of the
gnomes. As such, the following competitions will take place:

April 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm PST
City/Commune Wargame - Each city and commune will be able to enter the
wargames with teams of no more than six. The winning team will receive
on behalf of their city or commune: 750 steel, 750 iron 500 gold, 500
silver, and 500 platinum.

April 4-6, 2009, Various Times
There may be other various wargames, hamsterhunts, and slippers games
throughout the celebrations. The gnomes have kindly donated some of
their famous gift bags as prizes.

April 3, 2009 (submission deadline)
April 5, 2009, 12 Noon PST (winner announced)
Klangfest Bard Contest - This contest is for a bawdy drinking song. It
is ONLY open to bards. You may submit one entry (only). The submission
should be written on a letter and put in the Klangfest Box at the
spectator stands of the Klangratch Tournies. Beloch Baruwski promises a
special prize for the winner.

April 3, 2009 (submission deadline)
April 5, 2009, 12 Noon PST (winner announced)
Scrapgiving Gnome Contest - This is a contest for a gnomish jingle.
Please remember that gnomes love onomatopoeia. It is ONLY open to bards.
You may submit one entry (only). The submission should be written on a
letter and put in the Scrapgiving Box at the Aetherplex Chamber. The
Keeper of the Tintatorune Secrets promises a special prize for the
winner.

April 6, 2009, 3pm PST
Battlechess! This is another city/commune game, the winner receiving
the Chess Board of Libertas! (This chessboard gives blessings that
refresh citizens or commune members where it resides. It currently
is in Magnagora.)
