I can barely believe that Lusternia opened five years ago--time seems to
have stood still! But, when you stop and think about it, a lot has
changed in the past five years and I can't help but be a little proud
from how well we've done, despite the slings and arrows that we've had
to dodge at times. To celebrate, we're running a bunch of games
throughout the rest of the week, which you are scheduled here:

Also, Ironbeard has been spotted lurking about to join in the
celebrations, so you may find yourself receiving an unexpected gift.
Credit, gold and dingbat lotteries have also been initiated (see HELP
LOTTERY if you aren't familiar with lotteries).

Finally, you'll notice the Czigany Wayfaire has come to the Basin of
Life! This unique area will disappear after the anniversary
celebrations; however, you may see it return for other festivals and
holidays! You may have heard that completing the entire quest awards you
some dingbats. However, these are "sticky" dingbats, which means that
they cannot be traded. They intermingle with regular dingbats, but you
can see which of your dingbats are sticky by typing DINGBATS. You can
only claim this dingbat reward once!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has been a part of
Lusternia! I also want to especially thank our wonderful volunteers,
without whom Lusternia would not exist. The value of their contributions
cannot be overstated and I hope everyone will see them as the great
unsung heroes that they are. All of us, players and volunteers alike,
together have made this world a truly collaborative experience.
