Hi everybody,

Elections have just been enabled for guild rank 1 members of guilds.
This will be reverted as soon as every guild has a leader.

At this time, there are a few things I wish to say regarding leadership.
Leadership is not simply a title. Leadership does not mean you make
decisions on your own whims without consulting those who it affects.
Leadership is taking all available information, listening to your
constituents, and doing what is right for your organisation regardless
of whether it is right for you or your friends.

Each person contesting has a responsibility, moreso since this is the
first election for these guilds, to ensure they have the time to devote
to overseeing and listening. Each person contesting will have the power
to decide the future of their guild, and it should be strived for to
push us into the future and not the past. This is a new beginning, and
you will be standing at the forefront pointing the way. I beseech each
and every one of you to consider this before you put your name in the
pot, as each voice and not just your own is necessary for this to
succeed. Your decisions, your actions, they will affect these guilds for
years to come.

On that note, I feel the need to announce again that the old tactic of
taking guild leader to get a max rank is no longer viable. Leaders are
no longer given the max rank, and instead accrue it slowly over time. We
will, for the first leaders, be giving them a slight push to rank 3 of
their guild upon their election, and that is it.

Upon the finishing of your elections, myself and your org patrons will
be seeking to discuss a few matters with you so that you are prepared
and armed with all the information needed to lead and answer any
questions you might have.
