Hello everybody,

We have had a series of odd bugs lately regarding bugs which have caused living mobs to be picked up. We have been looking into this for over a week, but have still not found a cause. However, some of you have taken our lack of ability to find a cause as invitation to abuse this for combat, jokes, etc.

Given this has led to the death of newbies and has combat implications, we are now having to get involved. If this is used in combat, I encourage you to issue it. If it becomes otherwise used intentionally, please issue it.

We are looking into the root cause and are closer to finding it (I hope). In the meantime, please do not abuse bugs, and instead report them (HELP BUGS for more information). I hope this is taken as general advice, not just for this bug.
