My Departure

Hi everybody,
This isn't my usual announcement post with some big new feature or some promotion. Instead, I come with some more personal news. As of about two weeks ago, I stepped down as lead coder and Assistant Producer of Lusternia. Those of you who have noticed my slower development pace and longer absences will likely find this to be no real surprise, and I made the decision that more able hands with time to spare for the game's growth might be able to take over in my stead.
I'm not particularly good at goodbyes, nor am I particularly fond of them, so I'm going to try to keep this short.
Lusternia has been my home since my early teens, and it saw me through my teens and I saw it through its youth. It has been an honour to give back to it in whatever capacity I could. I made mistakes, but I do hope I at least left a positive mark on the game in some way, just as it has on me.
One thing I have learned over the years is that Lusternia is as much the people who play it as the game itself. While I am stepping away from the game, I am not stepping away from the friendships I have made, both here in the Havens and those few which have endured over the last decade and some change. Those are as much Lusternia as this beautifully crafted world. Never forget the people behind the screen.
I've waxed poetic long enough. I have full faith in my replacement, and I will leave it to them to introduce themselves in the coming days.
Signing off,
Ianir
