Player Discord Servers

Greetings Players of the Basin,
Discord is a relatively new medium through which the administration and players are able to communicate and discuss both things relevant to the game and things not so relevant and more for fun. It certainly overall has had a positive effect on the relationship between players and Gods but unfortunately, there are some things that have occurred recently that have caused us to reevaluate our involvement in individual city or commune discord servers.
Upon discussion, it has been decided to have all volunteers and staff remove themselves from all discord servers besides the general 'Unofficial Lusternia' discord server. That server is open and available to all players to join and while it is moderated by players outside of Lusternia, they do a really good job of moderating and keeping the peace between all.
The reasons for this change are multi-faceted. On one hand, it removes perceptions of bias towards any specific city or commune. For example, if I were to join only Serenwilde and Magnagora's discord servers but not Gaudiguch and Glomdoring's, that would be giving unfair access and would lead to potential bias. If Raezon didn't want to join a server but Maylea does, that also shows unfair access to Gods of that org. These are just examples but the underlying important message here is we want all players to feel like they are being treated equally and they are all being listened to and heard. Having selective access in various servers tarnishes that goal.
On the other hand, it is also to protect the volunteers themselves. While they are representatives of Lusternia, they are also people too, and we do not wish to subject them to player harassment because they made an off-comment about something unknowingly.
In general, being gathered in one location will be better for both Gods and players alike! Thank you for understanding!
