To clarify some confusion out there... Existing weapons that you own
should not have changed at all in stats nor in effectiveness. Future
longswords and maces that get forged should not be any different. The
same is almost true of broadswords and flails, though actually you might
notice a point or two extra in speed. (I made a trivial adjustment to
them to make balancing weapons easier even though it will probably be
unnoticeable to you.) Scimitars, morningstars, rapiers, and hammers
forged from now on will reflect the announced change, but existing ones
should not be changed.
