October Festivities

In the vein of classic new month promotion change posts, this is a post
about what October will bring us. Most importantly, no promotions! But
even though we will no longer have those, there is some measure of "new
month, new announcement" that we may wish to maintain. We may not always
post on the first or have quests that last an entire month. We may well
bring you an announcement mid-month or have shorter quests. Who knows!
We are still figuring it all out. One thing I can tell you for sure is
that being tied to the first is limiting and often disrupts other
development.
October is a month we know very well though, we know exactly what is
happening this month. It's when Lusternia celebrates its anniversary
and, by Dynara, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year! We
will get you the exact dates soon but we are most likely looking at
13-20th of October. The Creatrix Festival, the in-game take on the
anniversary, usually involves contests, a great hunt, Wayfaire return,
Ironbeard, etc. The Wheel of Tzaraziko will be active all of October
too, giving you a spin for playing for at least an hour on a given day.
Once prompted, you can find the wheel at the Cave of Chaos and SPIN
WHEEL FREE. The various contests will be awarding extra Iron Coins too
so you will have plenty to spin with. Finally, there's the Haunting, our
take on Halloween, and all that entails happening near the end of the
month.
We switched up promotional days for October too. Promo days? A name that
certainly needs changing but for the moment we're back with Klangratch's
Mighty Mondays, Double Experience Tuesdays, Shanth's Harmonious
Wednesdays, Tzaraziko's Chaotic Thursdays, and Fated Fridays. All of
them are back and HELP PROMO DAYS has the breakdown of what it all
means.
I hope you all enjoyed the rather unique take on a treasure hunt we had
running all of September and you either already have the completed
compendium or will have one soon. While Tessie will stop handing out new
compendiums to finish sometime tomorrow, everyone who has one can still
finish it. And remember that even though you might no longer be eligible
for a Grimkeep deck, the compendium still has many rewards built into it
so it is definitely worth doing.
Our shiny new Updates newsboard will soon see a post about what we've
been cooking in relation to changes brought about and necessary for
legacy mode so stay tuned!
