There are three top guild positions in every guild: Guildmaster,
Administrator, and Champion. Please see the help files (start with HELP
8) as it may be different from other realms you may be used to. In
summary, the Guildmaster sits on the ruling council of a city, the
Administrator runs the day-to-day operations of the guild, and the Guild
Champion protects individual guildmembers.

We have decided these first important decisions will be appointed by the
guild patrons. This is completely and totally up to the guild patron. He
or she may hold referendums or appoint leaders in his or her sole
discretion or flip a coin. Until then, patrons of guilds will be ablle
to appoint the minor offices and patrons of cities and Serenwilde may
appoint and confirm ministers.

The first appointments will occur all at once (i.e., when all patrons of
all guilds have made their decisions). At that point in time, we will
also open up a general election for the leader of the cities and
Serenwilde. At this point in time, we will consider our political
process active and patrons gaining these guild offices will be through
contesting and elections.
