Libraries and prestige books

With the opening of the Word Library as a neutral institution, the
prestige contests are now officially part of the Library System. Every
even year (so 138 - 140 - 142 etc.) each library may select one
scholarly and one literary book and submit it as their prestige entry
for that year. The librarians of the other libraries may then state
their opinions on the book to try and swing the chances in their favour
and then a winner shall be announced.
The winning library shall receive a culture bonus and the author of the
book (if not an organisation) shall receive an honours line signifying
this triumph of their writing. Multiple triumphs shall mean even more
impressive honours. All winning books will be published in the World
Library, for all to see. The bonuses obtained from winning books are
hefty and will hopefully make quality equally if not more important than
quantity.
The word library is also the place where new background material will be
released. We hope to do this fairly often so we will soon have
background on many subjects, giving people more tangible sources to base
their writings upon, or simply just for some light reading when one
wishes to learn more about lusternia, so don't forget to check the halls
from time to time.
