In the late part of Shanthin, a kinswoman of New Celest came to the Pool
of Stars searching for representatives of the Aquamancers guild. She
explained that her cousin Lileira, a student of Aquamancy, had been
missing for some time. Several of the guild began searching for some
clue, but it was the Aqua Adept named Fay who first approached their
tutor. Manchal was more than willing to share his memories of Lileira
and her husband Kreer, and especially of the research Lileira was known
to be doing. He admitted that he did not know her whereabouts, but
suggested that their Paladin friend Ronath might have more information.
The Celestians immediately consulted with Dame Eluzmith, but all she
could say of Ronath was that he had retired from the Paladins, and so
the city was scoured until finally he was discovered as one of the
peaceful kinsmen. Sheepishly, Ronath divulged a story that he had shared
with his friends before their disappearance. Returning from a conflict
in Magnagora, he had seen a fish in the Sea of Despair that seemed to
him to show no traces of the Taint. Lileira was incredibly interested
and almost immediately disappeared with her husband, presumedly to
search for this specimen.
It took the Celestians little time to find Lileira and Kreer in a small
research station off the Little Shallach River. Both had fallen ill in
the Tainted environment, and Lileira begged that someone help her finish
a potion to restore her husband to health. Those present jumped to the
task, although the intervention of Magnagora nearly destroyed their
efforts, and in time it was Torre Dekoven who led Lileira, potion in
hand, to her ailing husband. Kreer immediately seemed to regain his
health, and the grateful couple said they would return to New Celest as
soon as he could walk there. Satisfied with this hopeful promise, the
Celestians returned to tell the thankful kinswoman.
