It had seemed like any ordinary Vestian. However, a few people across
the Basin started to notice dust flying up from the highways accompanied
by yells. A few people eventually discovered the cause - a carriage
pulled by two dashros was rapidly circling the Basin.
The carriage eventually stopped at the Grand Junction near Dairuchi, and
a few people caught up to it to welcome Druchoro Tleem and his son, Sako
Tleem, as they exited the carriage and calmed down the dashros. Druchoro
announced that he and his son had bred superior dashros, able to
transport a carriage full of people. In that spirit, they announced a
new enterprise - a carriage that would transport patrons around the
Basin at a low price.
To complete the project, Druchoro continued, they needed wood to build
the stops. Sako pointed to a bell that one could ring and the carriage
would stop in response during its next pass. Sako offered to pay one
hundred gold per piece of wood brought to him to build a bell to stop
the carriage.
Heiress Sarrasri Talnara of the Serenwilde and Shric Diluculo of New
Celest were two of those who helped Sako Tleem along as he traveled the
Basin's highways, selling him wood as needed to construct stops in front
of various cities, communes, villages, and other points of interest,
each with a bell to ring. While this was going on, Ashteru and Hyrtakos
of the Glomdoring threatened Druchoro, demanding a cut of his new family
business's profits.
After the stops were constructed, Sako Tleem returned and invited
everyone to buy passage on his carriage. Joined by his father, Druchoro,
and a variety of curious residents of the Basin, the carriage took its
first profitable journey along the highways, stopping at the next bell
whenever someone would ring it or pull the rope inside of the carriage.
Various denizens also decided to buy passage. Tongin Springle boarded
the carriage and announced that he was missing his handkerchief when
questioned. It was Drusilla of Glomdoring who was able to return to him
his lost possession.
With all of the necessary components in place, only time will tell if
the Tleem Transport carriage will turn a profit for Druchoro and Sako.
